Where can i buy factory single cd mp3 player for mazda 3?

go to www.craigslist.com and click on austin as city

click on auto parts and page down or search but there is a mazda3 cd player for sale for $120. he replaced it with a 6 cd shanger and has this extra now.
 
$350 for a single cd/mp3 player? good god! if you had a normal 1 or 2 din opening, you could get an entire HU for that price. seems like a ripoff to me... can't you get an auxillary cable and plug your mp3 player directly into your radio? even though my car's got the mp3 cd capability, that's what I did... so much easier than burning discs.

I found a place in Edmonton offering a great price on the Single Mp3/CD deck. You order from them and they have it shipped from Japan directly to you in a couple of weeks. They even take PayPal. The site is:

I emailed them and a guy called "Maurice" wrote me back...

So I plan on ordering it as soon as he confirms he can get the dash trim cover.

thanks but never mind...I ordered a Single Mp3/CD from a place in Arizona (I'm in Mississauga) and it arrived today!! MP3 Unit with trim plate was delivered for $310(US).

ah, thanks. But...just bought an 06 Titanium 3STouring today, & went with the CD/mp3 changer for the $400, which they have to order & install yet. Can hardly wait to go pick it up later on this evening!

I would have liked the 6 mp3 changer as well but I was told by dealer that they will not work in an '05....wtf
 
It's installed...

Well I finally installed the single Mp3/CD in my car tonight. It very easy to do I must say. I've done a couple of decks in different Integras (I've had 4 of them) and my old Altima and this was way easier.
 
Don't suppose it has a midrange tone control..?

ILoveMyMazda3GT will have midrange tone control because it's an '05 Mazda3. The midrange control has nothing to do with the modular components (e.g. 6CD, MP3, MD, etc...) but rather the headunit itself, and again the '06 headunit does not have midrange controls whereas the '04-'05 does.
 
Going to try contacting my dealer on the possibility of swapping the '06 mp3 changer for an '05 single play HU. Don't really care as much about a changer vs better tone control.

Hey CBC, Yep it has the mid-range tone control.

Seems funny, I would love to have a 6 Changer MP3, but I cant have one (so I've been told) in my '05.

My guess is that your head unit is the limiting factor...
