Where and when did they go?

What happened to the Mazda trucks? I went to two dealers yesterday to look at a 4x4 and they both said they don't cary them any more. One said they may be back next year, the other didn't know. I went to Mazda NA and they even took them off their site. I don't see anything about a new modle, if they do come back I hope they are still small.

Put out to pasture. Why sell a rebadged Ranger for more money? My local Mazda dealer sits right next to a very large Ford dealer. So why buy a B series when a Ranger is cheaper next door?

they still exist, just over at the ford dealership. they were only rebadged ford rangers.

Yea, I know they are Rangers. But where I'm at they were cheaper. When I was looking for a 4x4 the B was 13k loaded out and the Ranger was 18k. I ended up with the Jeep (love of my life until gas went up).

Correction small (light) truck. I'll bet with the short wheel base and motor the tongue weight was low anyway which equals can't tow anything but can still haul some s*** in the bed. I'm a big suzuki fan so small trucks made by Suzuki have my vote, Some people don't need to tow a boat or RV. They just need to haul drywall, maybe a motorcycle, or some oversized, dirty tools, or the occasional couch.

I guess some can be hauled with!!!

Their was a rumor some time ago that Ford was killing off the ranger and bringing in a more competitive vehicle. Once that happens Mazda was supposed to get it as well.
Right now the ONLY reason to even look at a ranger is its the lowest priced truck available.
Other then that, its worthless. The ranger and frontier are leaques ahead of it.

I want a small 4x4. Something to take to the beach and not spend 30k for it.
Both run 24-25 for a base 4x4, which isn't really base. I don't want that. It's all going to get messed up anyways. I'm looking for cheap base modle 4x4 but I guess you can't get that anymore. Guess I'll have to save up and my an old truck.

If its just going to get messed up, then get a used truck for god sake.
Doesn't matter the brand.
That aside, with Nissan you can deal.
The price I paid for my Xterra was near insanity. $25,000 OTD on a $32,000 truck.


A 4x4 frontier can be had for near $20K OTD.
The base frontier with 4x4 option is 24K as you said, you can get $2K off that price and there is another $2K in rebates on the truck plus up to another $1K in rebates on the option package.
