when to get the 1st oil change

i'm sure this question has probably been covered many, many times....... but i'd like to know (if y'all remember) when you guys did your first oil change????

i'm approaching 1,500 miles and i'm considering getting one done @ about 2,000 miles (dealer recommends the first to be done @ 3,000 miles)

your feedback is much appreciated

500, 1500, 3000 - then every 3000
Mobil 1 5w-30 everytime.

I had my first oil change around 3000 miles. That was 'bout a year and a half ago.

I'm going to stick with the every 3k routine until I reach the higher mileage (60k+). I don't push the car and have no intentions of upgrading any internal performance parts thus the high frequency should not be required.
