Wheelman's P5 Build Thread

Hey guys! So I have been posting for a bit and figured I'd start a build thread of my progress, seems how I think I'll start getting into it a little more now that my other hobby is falling through, and I will no longer be as into it as I was.

Anyways! Bought my Black Mica Protege5 about 7 months ago with 67,000kms completely stock, I always wanted a Protege5 as my first car and I got it . Didn't do much to it at first, but I found out about the forum when wanting to do the rear wiper delete. After that the list started to build.......

Painted my rims a light gun metal colour...

Then added some OBX 4-1 headers and an AEM SRI....

Then came the DG AutoExe Replica Grille and Lamin-x fog light overlays (Y)....

And lastly painted the valve cover red to add a nice touch....

I have done lost of small things aswell, NGK Long Reach Plugs and Wires, Led interior lights, 6000k HID's and some others. I just got my camera back so I can document things a bit better in the future. Stuff that I have that has yet to be installed.....

I am also working on finalizing some JDM Tails a Racing Beat Cat back and some gold 17" Ikon rims! Got lots of ideas that I would like to keep me busy this summer so tell me what you think and leave some input. Thanks!

Yeah same here actually, got a bit of rust coming through the rear quaters... yikes! And a good wash, clay, and wax after that (Y)

Got my RR-Racing UDP in the other day......

It was pretty much as easy as putting my intake on just a bit tighter work space. I am really happy with it, and is for sure a noticeable change.

What do you need to install that?? I don't have a belt tensioner or anything...

Dont need one! There is a how to that I went off of that was somewhat helpful, but its actually quite simple, if you have an impact gun that would come in handy but other than that basic hand tools will do it no problem.

I say yes most definetly, just like anything with our cars its not mind blowing but you can tell its in there

AWR front motor mount is in, and going to be doing the side inserts this weekend! The rear will have to wait till I have my tranny out for the 5 speed swap tho (N)

After a good clay bar and the new rims going on, car is starting to get a more unique look (Y)

Looks really nice! Damn, yours is super clean. My body has lots of little dents and dings. I'm slowly working on fixing that.

Thanks! and yup this saturday. Tokico Blues and Eibach Pro Kit. I wanted Espliers but they were hard to find, and the Eibachs seemed like the next best choice for a DD.
