Wheel opinions please

Wasn't really in the market for wheels right now but the Rota group buy has sparked my interest. So I'll throw out these choices to get some opinions.

I voted 5Zigen Super-6. But don't you dare buy them!!

I just got mine mounted tonight. 17x7" +48mm offset Hyper Black. All I can say is "sick" (as the younger generation refers to it.) They look much better in person than any pics I've found. I got the serious homie hookup from Discount Tire, too.

Hey monstermile, I didnt realize you had a wheel choice poll going, I would have voted earlier since you offered your opinion on my poll. With my options I went with the 3.5 MSP Racing Harts, but the darker color suits the classic red much better than the silver. For that reason I will have to say go with the 5Zigen super6s. They look sweet as hell, and they have the right color to set of the beauty of our classic red rides!

Well the Super Six's I was looking at are silver. But after seeing Mackdaddy's ride I'm kinda partial to the Hyper Black. I have just never been a fan of gunmetal, black or dark colored wheels. Reasons being is they always look like they are dirty, and from a distance they look like steelies.

Oh and Equinox: Did you see the Super Six's on Makdaddy's P5?? If that doesn't change your opinion of them I guess you really don't like them.

I have to agree with you on the gunmetal and the dark color wheels. But as the search for my wheels has progressed in the last month the "hyper silver" and "hyper black" colors have really grown on me.

I can imagine the white are a total b**** to keep clean.

CruzinAltitude: What exactly is the difference between Hyper Silver and Hyper Black. They look pretty much the same to me.

Not a damn thing as far as I have seen so far. I think it just depends on the wheel manufacturer.

The Super Six's are still my favorite but I am still thinking about the Rotas because of the GB price, weight, and limited numbers that will be for the Protege. I'm still trying to sell off some parts left over from my Focus. If I can do that soon I might get in on the Rota GB. If not then tax time I'll probably snag the Super Six's. Unless I see something else before then that catches my eye.

Those are quite a few good reasons to go with the Rotas, I shied away from the Rota Battles becuase, although limited numbers were made for the MP5's, they are everywhere when it comes to Civics.

Yeah I like a little exclusivity. I had Tenzo Passion 5's on my Focus. They were from a very limited run of the 4x108 bolt pattern. What a crappy bp. I never saw them on another Focus. In fact my car was the featured ride on Tenzos website for several months. The only domestic up there too.
