99 eclipse
Whats up yall im new to the board (sorry for the common newbie thread) I have been reading ur posts for awhile and they have really helped me with dedciding on the MSP as my next car purchase. I currently drive a 99 eclipse gs 10th anniversary edition, and plan on trading it in the end of december. Im aware of the minute problems with the MSP, but as all of you have stated before they are easily fixed and most are even tsb's. My eclipse has some crappy springs on it right now. Great handeling, and lowered look, but to give you an idea, the spring is seriously about only 6 inches long (im serious). So when ever i hit the slightest divit in the road the banging sound is herendous, almost like a bomb is exploding in my trunk. So im sure i will be able to handle the clunk until I get the "e" series bushing. To anyone living in the maryland area, which dealership did you go to, and about how much did you pay for your MSP? I live in the cockeysville are and so far I have only seen 2 MSP's, actually one of them may be n MP3. I say a titanium gray one about a week ago on padoina road, they were coming off I-83 at about 9ish. The blue one I have seen I have only seen breifly and from afar, so I cant tell if its a speed yet.
Overall, I want to thank all of you for your input on the car. i was considering an SRT-4, its fast as hell, I got passed the "neon" factor, but overall the interior turned me off. Im still doing camparos with the 6 but im sure im goin with the speed. So thanks again and look forward to particpating in the joys of the MSP.

Did you tell them to go suck a truck!!! Thats like the subaru dealership trying to sell a used STI with 1300 miles for 32k :wtf:

Good luck with the deal and on finding a speed.

i spent 2 days fighten with russel about one of their speeds and they would go more then the 2g rebate, real assholes...plus they tried to screw me sayin i wanted the bad deal they offered...i will down russel til i die, they have horrible sales ppl and only one finice manager is cool......i went to rich morton off mountian rd and got my titanium msp for 17k flat, the steve morton (son of owner) was striaght with me and told me they wanted to get rid of all the speeds they have (7 then, all the colors, not sure if they have another titaium thou :) anyway, they were great, i told them i wanted 17k for the car....they offered 17,500, i said no, 17 and steve sat me down and shook my hand, no bs, and no hassle....plus they let me drive my future car alone for as long as i wanted while they got a bank to approve me...i stand by my purchase at rich morton 100%.....russel can go sux my dick.....they said theyll sell their msps for 19k :bs:

Hey AutoBox thanks for the advice. Ill look em up and drive over to check out what they have left. Ill talk to steve and tell him he came highly recomended. When u got your car at Rich Morton had they already flashed the remainder of their inventory or did you have to take it back in. My plan was to go into the dealership and tell them that i want the E class bushings, flash and any other TSB's taken care of before i drive it off the lot.

Welcome to the site. Make sure you bring the Re-Flash TSB number with you, just incase. Hope you can get the del you want :)
