Well i wanted to get a MS3 or MS6 but i cant b/c of insurance reasons, so i decided to just get a normal 6, so i was wondering wats the difference between the models? and whats the best model to get and set up for racing?

jeg0024 said:Do you mean between the different mazda6's or between the 6 and the MS6? And personally the 6 is too big to race anyways, woulda went with the 3, perferably the MS3. A slightly modded MS3 would beat a stock MS6 at a track anyways wouldnt it?
smo0f said:it's debatable. ms3 would have a weight advantage, but the ms6 would have a launch advantage. and the higher in hp and especially tq you add to an ms3, the tougher a launch is going to be. catch 22 sort of thing. a modded ms3 with wider tires (slicks) and multiple control boost settings (low for launch, higher for later), or a bigger turbo that would cause more lag on launch but higher output hp would definitely be a force to reckon with

smo0f said:check out the mazda 6 section of the forums. there's a lot of how-tos and info regarding what you want to do, and what shouldn't be done. also there's a stickied thread somewhere that lists current vendors associated with products for mazdas.
