What's the best WET/DRY traction tire?

yeah they are loud, but you want a good traction performance tire, and your gonna be autocrossing or at least you used too..

i mean, any performance tire is gonna be louder than a normal tire... lol its gonna be hard to find really good traction in wet and dry without noise.

AND

KDW does stand for Key feature, Dry and Wet traction..

theres proof enough :)

and the tread is amazingly ridiculous

I think what you're getting at is that a compromise must be made somewhere. You're either going to spend a fortune, sacrifice wet or dry traction, have a noisy tire, or get NO tread life out of it.
Realisticly, you're probably going to have to live with 2 of these... prioritize. By the thread title, wet and dry traction came first... and I would assume there is a budget involved. If road noise and tread wear are more important, then you're asking the wrong questions.

There are as many opinions on this as there people. My vote goes to Nitto Extreme 555. I've tested these by driving from NJ to Mont Tremblant and then Toronto during Christmas time (yes, the snowstorm was featured) on a FWD car. The other good choice would be Toyo Proxes.

Nitto's are pretty good from what i have heard from friends.,.,i have toyo proxes which is good too.,.,.,

Yeah im in the same boat living here in the Olympia area Washington. I would first want dry traction, but solid wet traction too. I drive pretty conservative in the rain..so as long as it gives me stable traction though the gears then thats fine with me..but I agree..my stock potenzas are s*** in the rain..I gotta feather the throttle so much..and oh s***..dont even get me going if im at a stop light on a steep hill when its raining. As for as road noise..Ill sacrifice that...price you pay for performance I guess. Mill creek eh? right on...nice to see locals on here ;)
