Hey fellow Speed3ers whats up? I was just wondering what u people use to clean the interior with? The vinyl plastic dash, center console etc.... And what u use to keep the seats clean and the leather proteceted? Oh yeah and a good way to keep the dust off the vinyl plastic.

Meguiars quick detail wipes or spray on a rag then wipe. Its the only stuff I will ever use on my dash again since it leaves zero slimy s*** behind for more dust to cling to. It simply offers UV protection and cleans with out leaving any thing behind so the plastic looks new and not artificially shinny.

Best detailer hands down is going to be an air compressor. You will not get all the small stuff in the cracks an vens with out brushes ect but one blast of air and its gone and then I follow with the dash wipes to get the rest out.

If you dont have an air compressor they are like $80 at harbor freight and you can use it for thousands of things. I spray all the door handles, reflector lights, cracks, door jams, ect after a wash so you dont drive off and get water running along side the car.

i use a wet microfiber towel. meguiers interior wipes DO leave a shiny coat, eventhough its not anything like armorcrack or anything, it still does. a compressor sounds like a good idea too.

I use Poorboy's natural look interior dressing for the dash, vinyl etc etc which smells sooo good. I also have a mini cali duster for a quick dusting whenever. I'm gonna pick up some 303 High Tech Fabric Guard for the seats which should do them good!

If you want a leather cleaner that works great, AND leaves no shine get Lexol leather cleaner. I apply it with a t-shirt and it works great. Moisturizes the leather without the pesky shine and "greasy" feel most cleaners leave behind.

As far as the dashboard goes, I only use a microfiber hand cloth to wipe it down on occasion. I'm a bit hesitant tabout using anything on the dashboard as it may leave behind a residue or markings that I may regret in the future. Made that mistake with my last car.

Meg's #40 or Meg's Hyper Dressing. Meguiar's is great cause the products work well and they smell great. Even their Designer line glass cleaner is just awesome.

microfiber clothes and armor all for the dash and armor all leather treament to clean the leather works great and looks o so sexy..

Best Car Care Cleaning...

You SO don't need an air compressor...

Computer Keyboard compressed air in a can. Easy!!

CLEAN Cloth Diapers... DITTO!

Microfiber cloths... LOVE THEM!

Ordinary baby wipes work great for quick, daily clean-ups!

Every three months I have my Blue Moon detailed (Ultimate Wash) at my
local Regal Auto Wash. They do a great job for $40 AND I
usually find a $10 off coupon in the Sunday paper!

I am ADDICTED to my car!! Blue Moon stock.webp

One product I should add to the list for you guys... Coffee filter.

Super cheap, easy to get, lint free, soft, etc. I know it sounds silly, but when I was fixing the wide format HP printer in our office, HP actually told me to use a coffee filter to clean the electrical contacts and the ink heads. (probably because it was an office and we would definitely have one)

So, if you are ever in the mood to clean your car, have the cleaner, but don't have a good applicator... give coffee a chance.

Air compressor works great because I shoot the inside of the door jams to get all the dust out as well as the entire inside.

As for baby wipes that is fine to clean filth but the Meguiars interior detailer is grease less and provides all the UV protection ect.

Can air is fine for small jobs but at $3 a can that got old real quick.

As for taking my car in to have the Border Brothers touch it, NO WAY!

I also use a damp mircofiber towel, it seems to grab dust well... I use tire foam or back to black on the door seals. An Air compressor would be good, that would probably work out well for the gauge area, I havent touched them since I bought the car because I dont want to scratch them, theres not really much dust, but still no touchy. Using forced inductin (well oppisite) on a MS3 sounds like they go well together ;)

I was going to use a static dust swiffer thing for the dash but I havent bought one yet, I hear that works well

GOD I WOULD HATE MY CAR TO SMELL LIKE THAT!!!!

You arent supposed to wipe your ass then the dash silly!

Check out the speed detailers that are OTC like Meguiars I love them. It cleans my car perfectly and reshines it. Every single day my car is wiped down inside and out so its always perfect and spendign 1hr a day means no more 3-4 hour detail washes once a week. I havent actually washed it in 3 weeks since it was waxed and it still looks freshly waxed.

I have a california duster for outside and one for inside but the air compressor works so well for the inside I have used the duster in a while. It also works great to quickly blast brake dust off the wheels. I cant tell you how much I use this compressor and it was only $80 at harbor freight then $20 for a 2 year warranty.

Plain Old Water and an average microfiber towel work great on the windows, interior & exterior. Takes the photochemical haze right off, without streaks!
Unlike ammonia-based cleaners, there's little-to-no worry about damaging the finish on the dash... Obviously, you'll still need to take the usual precautions: work in the shade after everything is cooled off.

Another product I've had much success with in the past is Blue Coral Velour cleaner. Useful for cleaning floor mats and the footwell-liner--spray on, wait, scrub & vac.
I used to detail at a local dealership, and we used this stuff to take out some pretty nasty stains in the used cars on the lot... Mud, dirt, grease....all of it came out.

I use viniger on the windows applied to a cotton cloth then buff with a microfiber cloth. They come out perfect with no streaks or haze.
