Less cost then stock and 2x the tread life. Seem to have good reviews and apparently they were the stock tires on the SRT-4's so they should hook up well with a FWD car that has power.

2 closest size options are 215/40/18 or 225/45/18 so which shoult I get?

I always loved BFG tires on my trucks they were the best as far as performance and wear so I hope this applies to their street tires.

thsoe are nice but these are cheaper and have more tread life...this is what im going to buy when the time comes

those are decent tires but are some of the heaviest out there for that size iirc they come in at a portly 25+ lbs....

You can buy those at Costco

They are available all year at cotsco for 126.00

Actually they are more then tirerack.com for that size costco has them at $188

Only thing I messed up and the options for the tire are only 215-40-18 or 225-40-18. Both are 40 at the side wall so what should I do?

As far as weight the 215-40-18 are 23lbs and I think that is lighter then stock. The 225 series are 28lbs so thats a bit heavier and may factored in my choice.

there pretty good the came stock on my srt-4 but i like my sumitos HRTZII better

Hook me up with a link to those.

I think the BFG would be a good tire since its tread wear is more then double that of the Potenza at 300AA. Also they are $25 less a tire and if they do last 2x as long that would be money well spent.

How many miles did you pull out of the BFG on your SRT-4?

Also what about a 40 series tire is that ok to run a 225/40/18 or a 215/40/18 tire on our cars?

Be carefull, treadwear ratings are only relative to tires of the same brand. There is no standardization for this rating between manufactures. That 300 treadwear rating on the BFGs doesn't mean twice the life, it could wear twice as fast as the Potenza's 140. That 300 rating will only last twice as long when comparing to another BFG tire with a 150 rating.

So there is no down side to running a slightly more narrow side wall at 40 from 45 stock?

Also would it be better to get the 215 series since they are lighter and atleast the stock width?

I really think when the time comes I will give these BFG tires a go since they seem to be a good option and if they came on the SRT-4 which was another FWD monster then they have to be a good choice.

good tires but get ready for nasty road noise with those.

I can you tires for $250 on all 4 but they are Linglongs brands. I used it on my S4 when my gforce retired. I know the brand is not so popular but I think they're same as yokos or others. These are china tires.

I've got aftermarket wheels (TSW Mondello) and they are 18x8 with a 40mm offset... I can't run the 225's cuz they touch the rear finders... So I'd say do a 215/40/18 for tires...
