Hey I have a question for yall:

I may be coming acrosss some good dough in the next month or so (Maybe close to 6K!). I was wondering what you would do.

Buy a turbo kit (Flyin' Protege, Spool, or Hiboost) and a Level 10 auto tranny (Yes I have an auto...the wife wanted it).

Buy JIC 505S Stainless cat-back with titanium muffler, JIC suspension, and Stop Tech big brake conversion kit, and wheels if any $$ left over.

Pay towards car loan

Buy the wifey a diamond ring

I too have the Auto and plan to get the FM Kit.
To my knowledge, my car will be the "template" car for them to make the correct IC pipes off of.
As for the tranny, just add an auxillary intercooler to the setup. That's what I plan to do. Remember, 90% of auto tranny failures are due to the fluid over heating (i.e. towing, etc). I am pretty confident that this setup will give me good power with good reliability.

I will let you know if it works out

Well said Don.... if you still have payments, get the car done before you do anything. If ou do have it paid for, I would go with a turbo, maybe some nice wheels, then put the remainder in the bank.

Thanks for the replies guys. I am still churning what I want to do. If that FM turbo works out for an AT, I think I will get that. Not sure about the ring though. She wants a platinum band with a single diamond on it. A little pricey I think. She enjoys cruising in the P5 and would enjoy the turbo. Still don't know. Making decisions suck. Peace.

Please let me know how it goes. I was looking at the FM website and noticed they mentioned (in bold writing) that they are still working out the necessary components for an auto tran. turbo kit. I was not aware the IC pipes were what needed to be modified. That's cool you are putting your car on the chopping block to test it on. Really, keep me informed. hell get the wagnermotorsports.net kit for less than $4k with intercooler, water cooled turbo, all you need to bolt it on yourself...the kit is a professional kit with stainless steel piping and brackets

Actually, i did get the money guys. I have opted to save some of the dough for the perf. kit when it is geared for the auto and I got my wife a little sumpin sumpin of a ring. Not much, but she likes it and likes the idea she can have the ring while boosting by others. A large chunk of my dough is going to pay for our wedding reception coming this July 12th. Wish me luck. I think like 300 people are showing up. My wife has a huge family. I'll post pics later. So, life is good for me I guess. Can't wait to drop in that sea shell (aka turbocharger) in the near future. what to do

bump the wife and the turbo! pay the car off! the way i see it is if you bust up the engine with the turbo will you have enough money to get a new one? nothing would suck more than having a car that doesnt run and still have to make payments on it but thats just my opinion. personally, i would take a trip somewhere far and have a good chunk left to pay off some of the loan.
