what would i have to do to my car if i want to get 300 hps out of my engine

The fsde just sucks in general if you want to keep the p5 just look into a diff motor.I've heard good things about the klze and klde. But there's also non mazda motors that are better honestly if ur looking into putting 20k to get 300 hp id say forget it spend 1,000 get a junkyard 4g63 make sure it has the iron block not aluminum put 5,000 in it and you'll probly be around 300 to 350 but then you'll have the trans and wiring and a lot of other misc. Things but you'll have one of the strongest 4cyl engines ever made imo. But you'll be well under 15,000 in the end with a lot of room for improvement. Some of them have been pushed to over 500 hp but then you'll have major traction issues most people that build them are the awd ones. Anybody know what they can hold with stock internals? I know with the stock turbo and internals you can run 18 psi for a daily driver

Ya I was thinking about going on the protegage.com and they sell blocks and I would go form there and then get a turbo

Basicly all those are is out blocks with forged rods and pistons you could get a junkyard motor clean and rebuild it with forged and have the head rebuilt with cams and have money left for a turbo and maybe an intercooler and piping kit.unless I'm wrong which I don't think I am I read their thread about them but rebuild a junk yard motor and ull have ur spare stock one just incase

Oh that works too or I could just by the stock motter and everything will be on it and I can just rebuild that the hole engine coast 2000 for the hole engine and where would I get a cast iron moter

wow another one of these? i noticed a trend on this forums. when someone posts something about intakes, everyone else does. when a person has tranny problems..everyone else does. when someone has idle problems...everyone else does. sort of odd. also when someone really needs some legitimate help, no one gives it. but ifs a question about performance its given in a heartbeat. /random rant

back on topic, get a new car guy. this motor isnt worth it. its a fantastic car and all but not for performance

Atleast he's not asking about swapping in a 2jz or convert it to awd or rwd :D but ya def agreed best thing to do is intake full exhaust lighter rims mp3 ecu maybe cams and leave it at that save your money buy something else use your p5 for winter maybe? I wouldn't put the kind of money you would have to into any daily driver car too manythings break wear out etc besides stuff listed I'm asumeing you live in canadaa or california I would go with tokico illumina struts and racing beat springs and sway bars for suspension stiffins it up a lot and it won't be too low

ya everyone is saying to get those struts but i want yellow speed coilovers for my car and under body braces and strut bars and also rims and i hella want to slam it to the ground and yes i live in cali

Those do great from what I've read. But slamming is over rated what are your plans for the car? If you plan on doing any kind of racing I would invest in an awr oil pan. Our oil systems sucks so don't take a turn at high rpms. And with that oil pan you may lose it going over a speed bump ;) with all that it should be pretty good for suspension the best upgrades for these cars are lighter rims and an mp3 ecu besides turbo that is.

I'm not an expert on our oil pans I just know a lot of people have had to rebuild or replace their motors because the way the oil is in the pan can anybody chime in on this?

Aren't the yellow speeds adjustable? If not then the only problem you would have is the bumps will rattle your brain. The tokico illumina is the best strut we can get to my knowledge but a lot of people on here say to go with the ebach pro kit. I'm not sure about the megan racing the price is cheap and more than likely so is the quality one thing you need to know with any car especially these is you get what you pay for. If you didn't wana be low id say go for the racing beat springs they do great but only lower about an inch or so

ya i wanted to get yellow speed but they are to much and i dont realy care how hard the ride is i just want it stiff as hell thats all and i am going to go with these now http://www.theautopartsshop.com/Sea...utm_content=Strut Assembly&utm_campaign=mazda with the megan springs the reason y i want those is cause they drop 2 inchs and also the spring rate is realy hight and this lower should be good i think better then the tokicos they are s*** and i dont like any other springs they dont drop it enought the tein s techs but there spring rate is realy owe and hella soft

Don't get the monroe you will regret it (personal experience) and your miss informed look anywhere on this forum if you want stiff tokico is the way to go and the eibach pro kit is about the same drop. And incase you didn't know if you go super stiff suspension A LOT of stuff is going to break from the extremely rougher ride. That's why people say not to get the yellow speed coilovers... I'm not talking little stuff I'm talking major ball joints bearings bushings motor mounts trans its self could go through pre mature failure. Its your car but you need to think about the negative affects your suspension is going to cause as well (scrapes oil pan. Tires will rub mine do as they are now.) I mean I'm not sure why you want it so stiff I promise its not fast enough to keep up with anything stiffer is not always better... and also don't plan on getting a double din or dvd head unit it will break from harder bumps. I'm not trying to rain on your parade or insult you in any way but anybody that wants a car 3 inches off the ground or less and its their only car is an idiot. Again not trying to insult you or anything I'm just saying you need a suspension for more practical everyday use if its your only car. Really the eibach pro kit would probly be pushing it to being to stiff for me

FYI the prokit is a very modest drop I think you would be more happy with Eibach Sportlines if youre looking for more stiff and a lower drop. Tokicos are very good struts and probably 90% of proteges that upgrade suspension go with the blues but the white illuminas with 5 way adjustable rebound/dampening are good too but then your getting back up to full coilover $$$ territory :)

Alight can one if u guess send me the link to the iebach sport line shocks and I will just order those if they got a good drop and get the blues how much is the drop in those cause I was going to get my lower today

That's not insoleting dude ur just letting me now what's up thanks for the ad vice that's y I joined the forum thanks man

Ebay is your friend always the best prices just make sure that the name is spelled right so your not getting knock off junk
