I went to the Toyota dealer and bought a bunch of T-IV fluid and after a 2x drain/refill, I returned the un-opened bottles to the Toyota dealer for a refund for the unused bottles. The T-IV fluid from your local Toyota dealer will cost the least. Mazda will sell you ford transmission fluid at un un-godly price. Go with the Toyota T-IV, its the same thing.
Sounds like it's to spec and they would stand behind it, but I don't have any experience with either as this is my first Auto and I'm about 29,400 miles from doing anything to the transmission, LOL
Also:
Fuchs Titan ATF 4400 is a great one.
Pentosin ATF 1
- Liqui Moly- Top Tec ATF 1200
Top choices for me for full synthetic. Been running the motul for well over 30K with smooth shifting and running. Oil is still red and smells fine and is very clean.
After trying everything in the book (RoyalPurple, Redline, Synchromesh, Mobil1, etc etc), I've found that NEO works the best. No more 5th gear weirdness, nice and smooth even when the car's cold, and bulletproof on hot days at the track.
Motul Multi-ATF. Great stuff and approval for this transmission-JWS 3309. I have used it on ours for 4 years with no issue. 100% synthetic. Smooth shifting always.
