I'm running a Protege5 now, so I know the basic Protege faults. Anything specific to the MSP engine, tranny, etc. that need scrutiny on a used car search?
check and see if the turbo is leaking oil, listen for squeeks when going over bumps so you know if your bushings are shot also clunking see if the idle jumps around in neutral
