you already live in hawaii what more do you want?
.... lower cost of living, lower gas prices, bigger malls, more things to do besides dance hula; surf; smoke week; sex;

went to hawaii for 2 weeks on vaca last jan... great place for vaca but unless you have a killer job, or in the military as nutari says the cost of living is out of control... just tell them how much milk costs... i was like wtf!!!

i dont like milk anyways.
and i have been thinking about it cause i am a software developer and it doesnt really matter where i am. I love surfing too.

then do it.... its f-in sweet out there... you are a surfer... but live in vt.. ummm okay??

haha. yeah its a long story.
i moved up here 8 years ago from Peru. i had to switch boards when i moved here so i have just been snowboarding since but i would love to get back on a real board.

id say save the money and go turbo. if not turbo, then do:

intake, exhaust, suspension

please dont be a goddamn ricer and use it all on a bodykit.

ok ok.....phew, ok..... take what i am about to say with a grain of salt ok?
the NA part package right now, IS probably the best option versus the wheels or kit. BUT two things are wrong with what you just said:
1- turbos have a place and should be respected (protecting my ass from turbo owners) but the big ol' snails are just another cheat-force fed blow up in your face pain in the ass cheat- i'm going all motor- and still eventually acheiving all the same power or your turbo...and without the lagging spool time... i will not join the darkside.
2- ricer... not good.. when i say body kit i don't mean broke ass glow in the dark gross widebody fiberglass raven spin off for $200... if you do the proper research and save/spend the appropriate amount of money one can find a VERY nice, clean, and effective kit. im sure that the likes of Accolade, Kenstyle, and Veilside (in 2007) would disagree with the theory that a kit makes you a ricer...and so would the many european manufacturers and proffesional racers... and mazdaspeed...
i realize that many people would not be involved in the tuner culture if it weren't for ****** "the fast and the furious" but i aint one of those kids. there are still people left who have a little taste so don't judge what i may end up doing.
you drive a car made (%90) in japan. so do i. end of story.

1. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA, I will believe it when i see it. This comment alone shows me you know s***.

2. You are not a pro, you have a car that is daily driven and i promise your kit will look like s*** within a year of owning it. Any body kit, that is not factory, will fit like s*** without the proper money spent. Good shops wont even touch body kits because they know they outcome will not be good.

no im not a pro, your right. nor do i pretend do be one. and yes like I SAID any kit without the cash, etc. and the looking like s*** and the shops not touching? tell that to my friend who has had a kit for four years that was installed beautifully and still looks as amazing as the day he bought it. perhaps that can be attributed to individual driving skills.
and back to the shops comment and the outcome again... your just plain full of it. that is the most uninformed comment i have ever heard.
and the turbo issue we're having here? i don't know s***? hmph. interesting. we shall see when i smoke your ASS with my NA configuration some day. i just truly hope don't overboost and blow your s*** between now and then. i'm looking forward to it.

Hasn't anyone heard of a savings account?

Seriously, if you don't know what to spend your money on, save it. With the money you guys dump into your cars you could have a hefty down payment on a house, your kids eductation, etc.

Now if you've been saving for a while and researching and know for certain you want to dump $2500 into your car, that's another story. But it seems like people here come across money and immediately unload. Holes in your pockets I tell yah.

...all options discussed so far (except turbo) like parts and kits and this and that, will all be done. its just a matter of what order. if you had read my previous posts you would know that i am saving hard and not "unloading" my well-earned cash until sometime in may. it is now november... not to be confused with impusle buying practices... rather impulse... or impusle i guess.
seriously though... this is not and will not simply be found money that im pissing through.

Okay... qaulity shops. I know several that wont do body kits. They take pride in the work they do and they dont want the shops name on something that wont look right. If your willing to spend the money and sadly to say 2500 doesnt cut it for... paint alone should run you just over a grand and then PROPER install can vary heavily on the qaulity on the kit.

Overboosting and things of the like are more to blame on the uneducated; then how you seem to think its a common problem. The 2.3 is a very proven strong motor. The design has been for a very long time. If your not a fool boosting can be a very safe experince and addicting. When you post time slips of your super fast NA setup or anyone for that matter i will believe.

Now if you want to do N/A because you know whats involved and the amount of money it takes then by all means go ahead, But dont think your going to be faster by any means... not without a lot of work.
