Allow me to display my ignorance for all to see. Being a "manual reader" I was surprised to see here that Mazda recommends 4lbs MORE pressure than that found on the door jam sticker when using winter tires. I went through all last winter missing those lbs. I first checked the manual - and you were right - then began to think. It's the thinking that reveals the ignorance. My winter tires are on 16" rims and appropriately sized mimic the 19" combination that came with my GT. Mazda must have had the 19s in mind when it printed and applied the pressure sticker on the jam (36lbs front and rear). Do the recommended pressure numbers still apply when the rims/tires on the truck are NOT the same size as delivered by Mazda?
