What the... '07 Mz5 loses 4hp?!

Is there a sticker inside the fuel door that claims E85 compatibility?

Not in the 06. Any of you 07 owners have sticker inside your fuel door?

I think all cars (late model anyways) can handle like E10, whatever the low dose is set at. E85 requires more than a tweak, for starters you need an entirely new fuel system to resist corrosion from the additional O2 concentration. The 2007 owners manual does specifically state nothing more than E10. Bummer :p

They probably tweaked the motor again to give more tq lower on the band, which reduces hp numbers but makes for a zippier entrance.

I think it was mentioned earlier in this topic, but MazdaUSA got back in touch with me about this and they said it was a result of SAE changes.

Ok I understand the new testing made alot of cars loose a horsepower or two, but the XXX@XXXX shows where the peak in its power curve was... why did the new tests show the peak 1k rpm later?

LOL, I am not the one who thinks the SAE are some liberal nuts. They just keep every one on a level playing field, your thinking of the EPA.

To clear things up, fam was making hippy references to the SAE because they changed the rules on how an engine must be setup to get an official hp rating. After the second silly comment I made my own comment trying to point out hippies had nothing to do with that change and that fam has no idea what they /we are talking about in this thread.
