what sprint phone should i get?

:
07 F150 HD
im not really "into" this stuff but i know a lot of you folks are.....so help me pick out a new phone...

got my first cell phone a little over 2 years ago and I still have it, sanyo scp-7300

My plan expired a couple months ago and so I just renewed and have a 150 rebate to use on a new phone.

-I would like cameraphone capabilities, and the ability to display pictures on the external screen (for caller ID)
-I would really like it if I could connect the phone to my PC (usb or something) to upload/download pictures/music/ringtones if this is even possible (I imagine they keep all the phones locked down so you have to buy goodies from sprint and pay them for data xfer to get pics and things off the phone?)

Thats about it for requirments. I could use a TON of technical stuff like IM and more capable web surfing and email but I know that would just cause my bill to shoot up each month so I have no real interest in getting a phone with those capabilities, if my new phone has them i will just try not ot use them....
Video capabilities would be neat too, as would mp3 playback....but much less neat if i cant pull my videos off the phone via USB or put my own mp3s on the phone similarly.

This is my only phone, no land line. So it has to be reliable and have good battery life. My scp-7300 has been excellent, and if it had camera phone capabilities i probably wouldnt be replacing it, so whatever I get I would really like to be at least as good as this one.

Samsung A900....FTW!

What he said....its exactly what u described that u wanted and more. I personally have this phone and i could not be more happier.

You can download camera pics and videos that u record through your phone, and its also an MP3 player. You can upload songs that you already have or purchase songs on your phone....and of course download those to your PC. Theres tons more options, and i must tell u its one of the best looking screens out there.....and the camera takes outstanding photos and videos.

Enjoy.

If you text message a lot, DON'T get the A900. It has t9 but DOES NOT LEARN NEW WORDS. This is by far the most annoying thing i have EVER encountered. *note: unlimited data (internet) is $20-$25 not too bad

Get the LG Fusic. I've never had an LG before and shunned them in the past.. but this phone is AMAZING. Battery life is out of this world. They have tons of hacks. You can put Garmin GPS on your phone and it works REALLY REALLY well. you can also stream the news for free with your basic data pack. It makes shortcuts very very easy... it has a built in FM transmitter.. (not reciever.. TRANSMITTER) so that you can broadcast all of the MP3's that you can store on it.

And up-close.. its much sexier than the A900 (for guys and girls)
The camera works A LOT better than the A900.

That being said... I have a refurbished A900 that i never used it you want to buy it.

I got the cheapest most brick like phone from sprint possible.. Its a nokia.. I love it.. It has no features.. its just a phone (2thumbs)

Yeah my A900 freezes up a lot when I am trying to play music and the battery life is horrible, I say go with the Treo or go with anything made by sanyo, I heard that they make the best phones. As a matter of fact check out cnet.com. they review all the top phones and so much more.

Ack. I hate my A900.. It constantly freezes up. Even the guy at the Sprint store warned me about the phone before I bought it.. shouldve taken his advice.. (notcool) Lately I've been contemplating switching providers because Sprint has NO equipment that I like at the moment..

Hmmmm.....had mine for many months now...have done all the firmware updates...never has froze on me once!

i would get Nextel phone I know its owned by sprint but they have the radio phones

Nextel sucks i just switched back to verizon (a-950) and now i can actually make phone calls from my house again

that could be more of a area thing than a carrier issue. verizon/cingular/nextel get 0 reception in my neighborhood, but sprint/tmobile have a pretty strong signals.

I have to agree with you. I have sprint and i get service nowhere. No matter where i go, i always drop calls. At first i thought it was just my phone (no external antena). After buying a new phone, i still had the same issues....

Another thing that may sway you away from sprint is the fact that they have the worst customer support. Everytime i call sprint customer support, its a nightmare. Im usually waiting on the phone/ arguing for at least 2 hours. Its not fun.... Even when its something little, its a 1 hour adventure.

I am getting ready to switch to cingular. Seems to have comparable prices, nice phones, and strong signals in most areas.
