Is the Front axle locknut a 32mm? Service manual I have does not say what the size is.

When you have the pleasure of snapping a hub bolt on the front azle it looks like you need to remove the whole assembly just to tap it through.

It's 32mm, but look at the manual. There is supposed to be away to access the studs without removing the hub. Foolish just tried it though on a 4-lug and couldn't. There is a high likelihood that if you pull the hub, you'll pull out the bearing race with it and have to replace the bearing.

Here's the note from the man.:

Good point on the bearing. thanks. It'd be like me to make a .50 cent part turn into a whole lot more!

If the dust cover interferes with the wheel

hub bolt and the wheel hub bolt cannot be

removed, tap the part shown in the figure

with a chisel lightly and bend the processing

point back to the steering knuckle side.

Not sure i understand, but I'll look at this tonight

I take it to mean that there must be some sort of cut-out in the dust shield that you can bend back to give access to the nut. But honestly I didn't look (just did my front wheel bearings)
