My mother bought me a P5 for my first car and the only thing i have bought for it is and XM Commander XM radio tuner and i was just wondering what yall think i should buy next. As a teen i dont have alot of money so anything i buy i want to be cheap so i can start saving up for the next item so if you would just let me know what you think i should add to my car next. thank you

you can get intakes off ebay damn cheap, search the website some to find an exhaust you will like, or go custom(which is usually cheaper). A custom catback should only cost 150-200 with muffler from a local exhaust shop

Here's my suggestion: (I'm a college student, so I'm on a tight budget too. In fact, I had two packets of easy mac today for dinner...sad sad...)

Save up your money. Don't buy anything full price. Things go on sale here on the forum all the time. Just last week I got an eibach pro-kit for $150 shipped, and I think they usually sell around $300. So it's been used for a few thousand miles...still I got i half price and already broken in for me. Also keep an eye on the group buys.

So, mods depends on what you want - are you looking for performance mods? Or mostly exterior stuff?

Also, check out the how-to threads. There are some CHEAP mods you can do. For instance, I started out by painting my headlight housing black. Best looking mod for $10 GUARANTEED. Also, there are some install tips that can save money on labor...

P.S. Ok so here's the short version of my rambling up above:
1) paint your headlights - looks awesome and takes $10 and half a day
2) intake or exhaust if you can get one off the forum for cheap (got my catback for $160 shipped)
3) springs (got my eibach pro-kit for $150 shipped)

about the ebay intakes: I've been looking for a cai on ebay and I guess the supplier is all sold out of the ebay cai and has been for a while...I think they only sell sri on ebay for the p5 now...

to be more specific i dont really want to do anything to the exterior of the car i like the car how it looks stock so mainly cheap performace parts and ill look on ebay and i just know found this site tonight but ill look for people seeling stuff on here thanks again.

yeah the cai vs. sri is hotly debated on this forum. I guess the Ractive sri is supposed to be a pretty good buy for $70...

honestly, you might as well just save the money for something else. at 16 you dont have much money to spend, so just stay away from the tacky cheap mods. cheap will usually never bring you much performance.

Cheap and Performance are 2 words that don't belong in the same sentence.
The how-to section does contain a lot of things that are easy to do, but aren't really "mods" they are more improvments.

Go for it! Just realize that you usually pay for what you get. But definitely research things on the forum b4 you buy. Everybody has tried everything and they always let people know if they're happy or not with their purchases...
