its really cool at night!!!

Great info once again, my choices just got more difficult.

MOMO, Yellow Sparco and Voodoo look interesting,

Thanks for taking the time to reply.

I'm using a black leather MachV super heavy shift knob.... I looked around for the heaviest knob I could find and luckily found MachV who mainly make stuff for mitsubishi. I think it's around six ounces. No metal, just leather so it looks pretty factory and seeing as I live in Az- with all the hot summers any metal on there would brand me! :)

i'm using a trust/greddy shift knob..

Do any of those aftermarket knobs screw onto an aftermarket short-throw, such as the kartboy? I don't really like the set screws because the knob can spin

i dont think there are too many of those...unless you get a custom one like a flameball or voodoo knob. if you get the kartboy knob it'll fit the short shifter (obviously). i like the razo's but if they require threading in order to fit, then i can't get it... :'( that is unless i get a true short shifter instead of taking off the extension

look i had a momo raptor and it just didnt fit on my shift lever. so i had to take it off and put it in the glove box and kissed about 80 dollars good bye.
i just didnt fit on my lever. (stock mp3) i think the lever was too skinny. i will sell you the momo raptor for cheap. its in blue. im not going to use it so i could use a litte money out of it i guess... anyone interested in it

The lever was too skinny? Did you try using the plastic adapter cups that come with that the three set screws go into to hold it there?

Oh yeah, I'm using the Ichibahn Pro Series black leather with blue stitching knob. I thought it was spinning and i was going to take it off cause those set screws... But when I took it off I realized it has two adapters in it.. one of them threads onto the Ichibahn aluminum piece that sits at the bottom, and the other one threads stays way up into the shift knob.. it shortened my shift another inch! I was happy. :) I had no idea it was threaded way up there and it saved me some cash. Here's some pictures..

yeah, but the little screws would fall out, because they would have to be screwed alll the way in and they would all be hanging on by about 1/2 a thread and if you hit the knob it would make the one of them fall out. i bet if i got longer screws that it would fix the problem i just havent gotten around to doing it

I use the aluminum kartboy one

deadly after it has been sitting in the sun, but oh well (dunno)

I'm using a Reative carbon fibre knob. Use to spin like MAD! I ended up plugging it with a piece of aluminium and industrial strength Loctite (702, I believe) and then re-taped it to the OEM specs. It now treads on my TWM SS perfectly!
