Anyone know what the name of this is? It’s the strip on top of the door, but mine is starting to tear. Is it Black Out Tape - Mazda (KB7W-50-8W3B)? I feel like this isn’t it. Has anyone replaced this piece before? Advice? This is a 2018 CX5

If it is not part of door w/strip, I would say your guess is probably correct. If you take car to dealer and go to the parts department. Let them look at it and identify it. That way if you order from them, you're not responsible if it's wrong.

Yeah unfortunately not sure when I’ll go to the dealer next. Dealer near me are kind of aholes and can’t stand taking it to them anymore especially since it’s out of warranty. Might just have to call the parts department and see if they can tell me though.

I was a Honda parts manager for 20 years, they aren't going to be much help over phone they are going to want you to come in. Just because dealer sales and service dept are aholes doesn't mean parts dept. is. Usually, the parts department knows more than service writers do.

Thats just open cell foam tape. Your can buy then and replace yourself. They came in various size. Purpose of it is prevent rattling.
