What offset can i run on my MSP???

Plan on getting 17X7.0 with a +42 offset and am lowering the car with ion springs, so thats 1.7" in the front and 0.7" in the rear.. Will this fit?? or is the offset to low??? I have heard some peolpe running 18X7.0 with a 215/40 and a +45 offset and the car is lowered and they are not rubbing at all.

I've got 17x7 42 offset with 215/40 tires on my Protege Sedan. But I am only lowered 1 ".

You should be fine. I wouldn't go lower then 42 offset with this combination.

yeah you should be fine. If going with 18"s I wouldn't suggest lower than 45+ offset with the sedan, and no lower than 48+ with the wagon. This includes up to a 2" drop on 7.5" wide rims


With 17"s you should be okay at 42+ and 7" wide or less. For up to a 2" drop as well, maybe squeezing a little more than that of a drop. There is a fitment recipe ARD MP5 has put up on this board in this section. It is sticky and always at the top, go take a look.
