Getting my windows tinted on Monday. What level of tint should I get? I'm thinking ~35% on all the side windows and 20% on the rear. Anyone got any pics of what they have done or any recommendations? My 5 is dark grey for what its worth.

I used to live in Michigan where you couldnt have anything on the front windows, but I took a chance anyway. I did 35% front, 17% rear and limo on the hatch. I never got even a warning for it. Heres a pic of what that looks like:

I have 5% all around, except on the windshield, and I have never gotten pulled over. I do have a medical waiver but in Delaware the cops just really don't care about tint.

kinda thinking 35% on the fronts and 20% on the rest now. I want the back darker since my kids will be in there and I don't like people peaking into see whats in the back.

i'm also thinking a small band across the top of the windshield to blend in with the black part in the middle where the mirror/rain sensor are.

I have 20% on the front, and 5% on the rest, plus a strip on the top of the windshield which is 20%.

If the sun is direct, it still bugs the baby in the back, even at 5%. It isnt for everybody though. Can be hard to see at night, but they are windows, and they roll down.

Here are a couple pics so you can see what it looks like.

thanks! looks good. I think 5% is a bit much for me - though I love the look. like the band across the windshield also. btw, your winters look like mine, though our snow has melted the last 2 days due to +9 (50F) deg weather up here.

will likely stick to the 20%.

Because the cops around me love to issue tint tickets I had to go 35 on the hatch and 1/4 glass, and 50% on the doors. Looks ok, but not as dark as I wanted to go.

I have 35% front and 20% rears. Still had to put up some visors on the rears to keep the sun out of the kid's eyes. I wouldn't go darker.

My other car had (faded now) 5% limo all around and night time visibility was and still is horrible. I'll never do that again. Keep in mind that most tint shops won't warranty anything below legal limits.
