what is wrong with you people???

no im not making a complaint or issue with n00b-y comments, even though there are plenty on here. (what is rife, boba, etc...)
My issue is, why do so many of you consider your msp as a lower class performance car?

msp v. 1.8T v. svt focus v. rsx

why are u wasting your time with that kind of competition?
I drive a wrx & am always on those forums. wrx's may be elitest but most of us are very aware of how potent the msp can be. Teh msp own3d the wrx in handling. With just a few mods the msp can kick an srt-4's ass in a straight line, mainly due to the tochigi somethin or other LSD. NOw people, get over the fact that your car is orange (most of you) & go tear some serious cars a new one. Go after those evo's, S4's, & rx7's on the autoX. While others go ahead & prep yours to be a dialy drivin 12second msp.

Thanks for the ego boost...:)

I think the MSP has the potential to be a good performer...go look at Joe P's beast..

our handling is comparable to some of the most exotic cars in world.....not some damn focus and base rsx. I agree there.

Power to race an evo or sti????? Not so sure about that though even with some mods. Autox as you mentioned is a little different then straight line though, so we have a chance there.

But coming from a wrx owner....hey thanks

As you can see MSP owners have a great respect for WRX owners. If these same comments came from and SRT-4 owner there would be some fires to put out!

I've read several "other car" forums and for the most part everyone has good things to say about our car (including the honda guys). I also have a 3G eclipse and it has taken a beating on just about every forum!! understandable :)

Thanks man, I also seriously considered getting a wrx when shopping for cars, but the msp just barely won out.

They are both amazingly fun machines to drive.

Hey Scott, whats the 1% mod?

on a side note, this is my 200th post, I just wish this forum could develope sme confetti that streams down each time you pass another 100. Just to make it a tad more special

Thanks for the propers! I almost went WRX, but just about 5-7k out of my price range (was trying to find cheap/good `98-99 2.5rs stick, too...but that's impossible!). Now I have a car that's comparable (except in the damn snow!) handling-wise, and something that I can tune to be superior!

On a side note...must tune my gf's `97 Legacy GT...any suggestions? PM me or email me!

Yep! If I was going to spend $25,000....

the WRX was my choice, as well. I am boosting to around 10psi, and (still) using the K&N RU-3580 cone filter. I am quite pleased. I am also using the HSM Axle-Back Exhaust. Great Sound!

I'm not out looking for races, and am not interested in being quicker than an SRT-4, or any other of the opposition. I will leave that to the others. Their track times are good enough for me. So; when I'm asked how fast my car is; I simply compare another MAZDASPEED with the same upgrades as mine, and mention, their times will be better than mine, since I have no experience at the dragstrip, etc...

When the CAI battles heat up, I will choose one; but, I am in no hurry.

I am curious about the additional HP now with the added boost. Maybe 185HP?

Whoa ...

I thought this was another, "Someone vandalized my car again." thread.

I would have bought a loaded WRX wagon with 19k miles on it for 18 and change from Carmax but the car was in Kenosha and I'm in Texas. I didn't want to pay the fee to tranport it (which was only about 150.00$) just to test drive it. It had seventeens on it and some nice dry weather tires. I may have eventaully paid the fee but when I went to pickup (very possibly) a new 6S I saw the MSP and bought it. It really does look nice and at 12PSI it has a lot more power than the stock (for me) 5PSI.
I am still a big fan of the WRX just saw a brand new Silver STI while driving back from lunch. I prefer the sleeper look of a modded WRX to the "LOOK AT ME" STI wing but either way it's cool car.

You suck you WRX drivin noob. Why dont you just stay the hell out of here. What are you trying to do anyway? Trollin on our board. WRX drivers are not welcome here.

i was almost positive that i would get some at least one flame for my comments. I'm almost kinda sad, being that im an attn *****.

dude that beer gif is dope. Makes me wants a jereboam of double bastard.

I just went out recently to my local mazda dealer but alas, the rx8 is not available yet. Bah, so i went to test drive the rsx-s again. Ick, their clutch is absolute mush, like stepping through air. But at least it has a better powerband than the previous vtec generation, then again that could be all due to the close ratio gear box.

Then i drove down the block to do a little run in the 6spd vw gti. Better clutch feel than the rsx but in the turns is still brought back memories of my previous ride (jetta 1.8t).

Also, how safe is it on your engine to be running that 12psi?
