What is the Best iPod/iPhone integration Module?

I have seen a few of these Modules available and I am debating between the Mazda one and the IS (Integration Solutions) one. If you have others that you are happy with I would love to hear from those of you that have them installed. Also I would like to know where (pic) you have mounted your iPhone holder.

For any CX with the Factory Bose system (non-nav)

Thanks in advance

I don't have an Ipod because I prefer to stay with a more "open standard" mp3 player and I just ordered the Audio Link USB MP3 Player Integration Kit from RPM. However, they also make an Ipod adapter you might check out.

In any case, I've heard a lot of people say to stay away from the Mazda Ipod adapter, FWIW.

I have had good luck with the Audiolink. I also have it cabled to Dice dock mounted on a KudaUSA mount.

i'm asking for a friend of mine that has a cx7......does it work with the iphone????? and if anyone has put in an aftermarket....which ones and how hard....pm if you want to please.....but just please reply

I need something that works with an iPhone. I wanna look at the parrot bluetooth stuff as well.

I just got done installing a NEO iPod adapter kit to my gf's CX-7. The radio controls are extremely difficult to use, but if you switch it back to iPod controlling, it's a tad easier. It charges and apparently you can increase the bass/mid/treb of the aux input seperately, but the unit is so hard to use, I don't think i'll even bother.

Where are you guys hiding the iPod cable for a neat install? Something that would still be accessible to change songs and stuff?

the biggest problem with ipod adapters that i have seen with other radios is that your need 3 or 4 lines of text to be able to scroll through the songs list, other wise it takes for ever.how many lines of text do you get with the stock maxda cx7 bose radio?just asking,im picking up my new 2008 on saturday.

for the neo if you run it under the silver trim to the left of the shift knob it is pretty neat where you just put the ipod in the extra space by the 12v and give yourself enough slack to pick up and change the songs it works pretty well.. no problems. just wish i had access to the steering wheel controls

Sounds like I'm not going to be satisfied, after using the Alpine CDDA 9886 head unit in my Civic, which has a built in iPod module, and can scroll through my entire library on the unit. Wouldn't want to remove the OEM stereo if I buy the MS3, and use the Alpine. Hopefully having a fun car to drive will remove the need for a fully functional iPod integration.
