What is that electronic thump sound?

So I'm curious if anyone knows what this electronic thump sound is whenever the MZ5 is started and moves forward for about 10 secs or so. I'm sorry I don't have a video or audio of this, but it sounds similar to the AC compressor turning on, but I know for certain it's not. I feel confident that this sound is normal and not some kind problem...just would like to figure what's being turned on or whatever the MZ5 is doing. Sorry if the description is vague and not clear. Did my best trying explain it...lol.

Engine bay area I would say and you can feel it a little bit on the throttle pedal.

It sounds like you're describing the ABS "self test". If it only happens after the vehicle has sat for a bit and when you first start to drive away then that is what it is. It's completely normal.

Ahhh...thanks for chiming in with that info. I felt confident that it was a normal, but just wasn't sure what it was :)

EDIT* Now that I know what it is, I found an older thread:
