i remove the cats and rplace them by a pipe of the saem diameter? that owuld be a test pipe right? now would it give me more power without having to get in to engine management? or do i have to do EM if i put on a test pipe?

no you don't need ems with a testpipe, however it'll help you maximize your gains. You'll still gain some hp with the testpipe though.

And your car will smell like exhaust ASS.. i removed mine and was running header test pipe and muffler.. that s*** was LOUD!!!! and the smell was bad.. eveytime i was in stop and go traffic i could smell it.. just get a hi-flow cat.. thats what i did.

well FWIW with the turbo you wouldn't have as loud an exhuast sound. Still louder than with a cat, but not as bad as an NA setup.

Honestly getting rid of the stock cats is probably the best single thing you can do for your exhuast. I know my car felt alot better with the midpipe installed, and that even has a cat.

Your car is still going to be loud. Mine(3 inches) when i would get on it, it would get kind of quite, but when your just sitting there that s*** is loud and low. I personally like it.

How are cops in your area? Its considered the south where i'm at and cops still love the old school V8's and Harley's so all them import owners get ****** with......If they can catch us. There's only a few that can out run them, but if we can we do. (outie)

cops in my neck of the woods are starting to flare up badly.. and so much that, in montreal, the city i live was on the new in montreal news and they did a report about it.. drag-street racing is now plague.. with civics and srts everywhere.. not many msp though.. were like 3 or 4 over here.. i've seen a silver, an spicy and mine.. the spicy is own by some guy who blew 3 engines, 2 turbos and one tranny before the dealer said "you're on your own
kid"

because of him i got no slack what so ever.. im still installing hard piping and MAF relocation and a bov though.. and prolly a test pipe..

i will have troube witht his.. there stopping every car that doesn't seem to have a STOCK exaust.. and since the msp is on the list, i might have problems even if the exaust is stock.. we'll see..

What I would do is either a nice 3 inch system or atleast run a beefy resignator so it's not to loud.
