from a dig, it was a mustang, an older one. my guess is it was a 99 id say. I pulled up to a light right next to him and he looks at me and revs his engine, (definely was loud and even made his car shake a little). I was thinkin o god, im gonna get slapped silly. so light turns green and i punched it... i launched at about 3k, chirped the wheels a tad but not bad. and the whole time i was ahead of him and just pulled away when we got to about 60 and i let off completely (not a big fan of speedin too bad.) and after a second or 2, he flew past me even though i let off, and he just kept goin till he was a couple hundred feet past me (hard loss for him.. a lil pocket rocket smoked him).
anyways, he hits the next red light and i catch up to him, and i pull up with my window down to at least so nice sounded mustang (which is bs, but hey y not be nice.. makes everyone more friendly) he didnt even look at me, or anything! the light is still red about to turn green, and he slowly moves up more and more and more even though its still red.. and launches before it turns green. i mean, he was like halfway into the intersection and launched early. so i launched right when the light turned green, he was maybe 1.5 to 2 car lengths on me, but i caugt up and passed him like nothing. than took the jug handle went home with a smile and jumped in bed. (glare)

soo..... (peep).... not like this thread is alive, but why not add more racing instances (at the track of course, one with stop lights).
so tonight, i was out driving, and i drove my mom to the store. I merged onto a highway, and got right infront of a trans-am a newer one (not a big fan of trans-ams, but i can just say it was a newer one). As we are driving and about to pull up to a red light, as we get there the light turns green (darn it). Anyways, i just downshifted to 2nd going about 10mph (maybe a lil slower) and floored it. though i wasn't sure if he wanted to race or not, i was slow about getting on it hard, but he got the holeshot by about half a car. But about a second later i passed him, and than came to another light (but behind cars). but he just stayed far behind me not even trying to race again. (glare) its fun beating cars who you KNOW the drivers hate little 4 bangers.
and i guess you can call this a race (once again, like always, we were on a track...) I was driving down the highway again, and a pickup truck tried going at it a little. and i couldn't really tell, but it looked as it said SVT on the back of the truck so i'd imagine it was a lightning? Again, i'm not too familiar with pick up trucks so I don't know. So from a roll maybe 50 mph we went at it. Once again, it wasn't clear he wanted to race right away, so i didn't get on it. But once he had about half a car length on me, I floored it (in 3rd), I caught right up with him and started to pass him. But right as I started to pass him, he let off. clearly this 'race' wasnt for long and was very short, but once again, another guy whos all tough in their big ford didn't even look at me.
its funny, i noticed driving a car, which people don't know how fast our babies can actually be... they feel so embarrased that they just lost to an import.
so as the talley goes, 4 and 0... what a difference that is coming from an old beat up 96 acura integra, which you could only imagine how many cars i beat with that ....

i havent raced anything yet, i stil getting used to shifting at high rpm, plus i havent seen anyone to race but i was doing some pretty good shifting chirpin 2nd froma stand stil so fun....plus thsi is my first stick shift car and my first turbo car. everything is new for me its like a whole different world when i drive this beast
An LS1 WS-6 Trans AM regularly runs high 13's at the track and can hold thier own on the top end. While I'm sure a MS3 can give it a run for it's money down low and possibly beat it at highly illegal speeds on a highway, You'd know if he was racing you. All the lightning's I've raced at the strip have been modded to hell and ran in the 12's, so I havent a clue what the things will run stock. At the wieght those things are at however, I can totally see them being a bottom end only vehicle. Handling on them is nothing to brag about either. Those little Mazda's are going to be a handful for a lot of older generation V8's.

maan the few opurtunities ive had to race, the ppl havent raced , bunch of vag's. but the 3 cars i could have raced were 2 zo6 corvettes and a 2006 gt mustang and none of them raced me wtf i would have got ***** by vettes but stil i wana see how bad the **** would be. i woulda been close wit mustang im sure but wtf no1 raced i keep updating if i race anyone , spread the word i wanna kno what ppl are racing........

1987ish 5.0 mustang, exhuast, Beat him easily in 2nd gear. He took off, I took off, blew past, he then stopped trying, lol

2006 or 07 Wrx on freeway, in 5th we started, I won without too much hassle
My buddies 2000 A4, lots of mods bigger turbo Ecs tuning Etc. I won after 100mph, he wants a rematch lol

I guess thats it, Ive had the car for almost 3 months now......Been fun....Got a speeding ticket on the freeway at night, cop was following me for a while, rador popped 2 times real fast then stopped, well I was going 105 then slowed down each time, he ended up pulling me over once he figured out i was on to him and slowed down........He was nice and gave me 80 in a 60...................Its been fun so far

Yeh I second that too Vroom........I was sittin at speedway talkin to my buddy in his car and this Big dodge truck revs his strait pipes as he passes, I looked at my buddy and like Ok? Then He pulls out on the street and does a decent burn out....lol I looked at my buddy and said Im goin after him. i turned my car on and flew after him, Speed limit is 45 on the street, I caught up and reved at him, He tried to take off.....it was pathetic on how I just flew past him, soon as I did he let off, I slowed down and just kept flooring it and stopping, flooring it and stopping, the dude wouldnt even budge and Im sure he was pretty pissed about it...... HA HA stupid fast wagons

Im not into v8s at all, but the last time I checked the WS6 Transam Is just an aerokitted version of the regular 8........not an LS1, Im not sure what has the LS1 in it? The formula version? I know the SS camaros have the LS1, I didnt think the birds had it........But then again Im not into them enough to know exactly......

I want to run a MS3 locally when one comes to a meet. You should run a 6.0L LS2 GTO or a 2001 Camaro SS or WS6 Trans Am. Those are the V8s with real power. Also, pick on the STI not the WRX from a punch. We ran a WRX vs STI to see how they hold up and there's a big difference.
