What have you done to your P5 today?

Waiting for next winter. I might trim them down a little, they've always been a little too big, looks kinda like a semi truck from the back. But for $15, I couldn't be happier.

Not 100% sure. It goes into a "T" fitting and looks like it goes to the fuel rail

Roro, looks good man. I still like the plastidip, gives it an audi feel

Thank you, nobody's ever told me that, but it's very true! All I need now to complete the look is fog light deletes :)

Bought 5 qts of oil today and a filter. I have my afternoon all planned out for tomorrow.

And... after a good hour drive home tonight with the HIDs on, I left them on and checked all of the connections and wires and all is looking good. No excessive hot spots, no loose connections. All is well. I just need to find a better spot to mount the ballasts.

Best places to hide the ballasts are on either side inside the bumper. Pulling the bumper makes the job 10x easier and makes the install super clean. On the driver's side there is a perfect bracket to zip-tie the ballast to and run the wires up from under the headlight. On the passenger side, the clearance is a bit more tight because of the windshield wiper reservoir, but you can do the same thing there too.

Changed Oil with Castrol GTX 10W30 and Wix filter
Installed CR3 radiator brackets
Wiped down engine bay
Wiped down and vacuumed interior
Dropped off oil at Kragen and then washed her

She is clean now

CR3 radiator bracket (I sanded it to give it a brushed finish and then shot it with some clear)

My a/c goes in and out on fan speed two. I've just been too lazy to fix it. This is a common problem on the protege and an easy fix. You removed the radio surround and fix the fan connect wire into the back of the fan speed selector switch. If the wire is pushed in far enough it wont trigger the a/c. I hope you have an easy issue like this and not a more physical problem under the hood. I just now got my a/c running 3 weeks ago. Didn't realize it until it got hot but my low pressure line had been busted and I ended up having a custom line made

Yea that's pretty much my issue. Nothing physical just the flickering. I squeezed the connections but that only worked for about a week or so. I'll try not having it pushed in too far to see if that helps. I'll have to get my hands on a soldering iron to give it the permanent fix.

I was able to fix it by spraying the contacts of the fan speed switch connector with contact cleaner (WD40 would probably work just as well). If you spray it then remove/insert the connector 10-20 times it should be clean enough.

I got the oil changed today. Lucky for me, they had full synthetic in it when I got it, so I didn't have to worry about flushing it. Bosch Distance Plus "performance" filter, Quaker State Full Synthetic, and a new oil catch pan. NOW... before I got to changing the oil, my check engine light came on. I didn't get a chance to check the code, but it went off after I got the oil changed and took her out for a run to push everything through. Do the P5's have an oil sensor for that?

Also, at some point yesterday I picked up a 2" screw... so I had to get that fixed today. And it was hot today. Jobs are done though and it's time for steak and beer. Solid day!

I did some baking. They were so kinda chewy but still taste pretty good.

I haven't done anything except drive it around, it's been treating me well lately :)

Nope, it was just a coincidence. Hopefully it doesn't come back, but if you're concerned you can always get it scanned at autozone for free to see if there are any pending codes.

That's actually where I was headed before I went to my girlfriend's house. But then it was off... so I continued on.

Got bored so I di-noc wrapped my redtop since I was getting tired of the red in the bay. Will re-do it nicer once I get my 505Zoom cold air box. Please excuse bad iphone picture.

Ordered new Morimoto ballasts from TRS, and a new set of clear corner sedan headlights to re-do the projectors on my car.
The current lenses are eaten up, and the re-clear kit and sanding etc... didn't work and hold up for too long.

Broke down on the palisades parkway in jersey. Had to call in some reinforcements for help. Ended up getting home minus power steering and ac. Both my power steering and alternator belts decided to die on me today....yay!!! -__-

^ That sucks. I had all of mine changed for around $80. Most people quoted around $120 so look around if you have the option.

i really need to get under the car. this dang clunk noise seems to get louder like the whole front end is going to break appart
