What have you done to your P5 today?

Haha, not completely off header. The donut flange gasket is missing. Hence the sound lol. Get the new gasket in tomorrow along with the CAI, Because stock intake tube was cracked, which will be installed tomorrow. Get back to being quite again. But yeah sounds like garbage!

One of the biggest reasons I went with the SLS midpipe wasnt just because it was catless and 2.75inches :P but because it comes with a flex portion where it connects to the header. I could never get a perfect fit with the stock midpipe and header and always had loud exhaust leak from the doughnut gasket not sealing properly. The flex pipe on the SLS midpipe fixed that perfectly

Was going to swap my axleback, but the hardware was rusted to all hell..did any oil change though, it's been a while.

When I swapped in the MSP axleback I just cranked on the rusted out bolts with a pair of vice grips till the bolts snapped :p

Doesn't this elimante the rear cat as well, or did you opt for the high flow cat?

Were you using the "flat" gasket from the local parts store? I'm having the same problem, and am considering getting an OE gasket as it appears to be more conical. Is this the case?

Yeah, my header said only use the OEM donut gasket. Then I sued some high temp RTV silcone sealant for good measure.

^^I might try that for the flange that connects the midpipe to the next bit before the axle-back portion b/c that gasket seems to get water between it and degrading real fast

^ I have one of those, and it is pretty cool. Had to repaint the black part (not the CF) on mine though cause it faded in like two days. Now it's all good.

So last night after meeting my wife in town for dinner, I went back to the car to go home. Started the car, and the rpm came up (just like a normal start up) but as the RPM went downit would just die out. But if I start it an rev the engine the car would stay on.

After letting the car sit for 10 mins I tried starting it again. This time Idle was at what seemed to be 100-200 rpm. And it didn't fluctuate. So I tried to make the trek home. Only that if I hit a stop light I had to keep the RPMs up to keep it from dieing out.

This is the second time this has happend. The only thing that would make sense is heatsoak.
This is an intermittent problem. off hand the car
Drives normally.

Sounds like a stuck open EGR valve. When was the last time you cleaned yours?

I could give it a look. but it shouldnt be gummed up, my EGR pipe is cut and has a breather filter. (the exhaust side is capped)
