What have you done to your P5 today?

drained the coolant and filled with cooling agent and distilled water, on the product it says to fill the radiator, then start the car without the cap on, wait till the thermostat opens, then top off the radiator with water...
i was kinda scared that coolant would come spewing out so i only did it until i saw a few bubbles popped up, im guessing this is the reason why they tell you to do that, so u bleed the system?

Should I have "bled" the system when I drained my coolant, replaced those gaskets and filled it back up last week? Didn't realize you were supposed to do that with the cooling system...

I didn't bleed mine when I changed the thermostat and flushed it. It still ran just fine and the coolant level hasn't changed. Maybe I'll bleed it now, just to be sure though...

I changed my friends thermostat and coolant last week on his POS Camry and we had to bleed his system though. It was still running hot. I kept carefully popping the rad cap and eventually it bled and ran just fine.

Just dropped off the car at friends place, and took off the front end and headlights, now getting ready to go to Matt V's place and give him my headlights and take his sedan retrofits :D yeeeaaa +1

pics will be up this week when the new lights are installed on the p5!!

In the Mazdas that I've worked on, it's a self bleeding system with the overflow tank as the highest part of the system. Basically, the air works itself out. Not always the case, but IIRC it is on the protege (it definitely is on the Miata)

Yeah, it's supposed to be a self bleed, but if you've relocated your overflow, it doesn't always work right.

Sold my jl w1v2 10" sub and Alpine mrp-f550 amp, ordered an Alpine cda-105 hu - thank gosh im sick of listening to the radio. Scheduled recall work to be done next week! productive day for the p5!!!

EDIT: and got an extra key!

ANOTHER EDIT: and i just bought a rdx antenna...(i need to slow down)
