What have you done to your P5 today?

anyone recommend some good rotors that arent drilled or cost a bunch? (slotted I guess would be ok, I know they kinda suck but they look kinda cool?)

This is why I've never upgraded to MSP, MP3, Mz3 or RX8 wheels. They all look great on the P5, but they're 7ish pounds heavier each wheel...all that unsprung weight would erase all the power gains I've worked out of this car! For me it's FDs or something light and cheap from aftermarket...or stockers!

While true, you only loose like 3 of the 95 that the car has anyway...

was browsing craigslist and saw the mazdaspeed racing harts in CT. only 2 tho... just rim.. look like perfect condition... 100 for both rims. no tires... worth it? i guess finding 2 more wont be that tough??

i am in communication with that guy : ) . not sure if I want those racing harts or not. plus when i get those two i would need to make sure I find two more of the same year with same finish.

Got up early to wash up the P5 before it got hot out... apparently I didn't get up early enough.

Does anyone know of any good shops in Austin or anywhere in Texas for that matter that can swap or rebuild an FSDE? I am considering a gray 03.5 MSP in Houston that has bad rod bearings. I figure if I can pick it up for around 3k or less and rebuild the motor and have it all running for less than 2k I can save a couple thousand for mods or gas/insurance.

A buddy of mine has a shop to do it but I don't have much experience with Mazdas. Ideally I would like to find a built longblock or order forged internals and build the block in the car. This is all in my head at this point but I really want to do it, I would save a lot of money.

The shipping labels for my MSP RHs with tires said 46 lbs. I don't feel any power difference from the 16" '02 stockers. And even if I did lose a few HP, the way these rims complete the car negates any losses!

Demodded the engine bay, not that there was much to do, removed the intake, HIDs, and the Hella Supertones. Next up is taking out the stereo and sub. That stock intake is a real pain in the ass, especially when you've never seen one fully assembled before.

I'm getting Centric rotors, just ordered them off of tirerack.. cheaper than brembos

I finally got around to replacing my mostly seized up rear calipers, rotors, and pads with new. I flushed and bled the entire brake system as well. I don't think it had been done in a loooong time.

It's so much nicer to drive now and the parking brake actually holds the car in place. The adjusters were totally siezed.

My hot rod is at the body shop after a stupid deer hit me last Thursday so the Mazda gets to stay in the garage until it comes back.

that heavy? mine plus tires weigh only 36lbs (plus air so a lbs more maybe). anyways from my stockers I feel a slight difference (+ hp) and I mite be crazy but it seems like my speedometer is messed up now
