Lol, when I saw the Jensen I was like "awh ****, those things are cheap, he'll end up swapping or breaking" then a few posts down you already changed haha

What made u change out the jensen so quickly?

It kept switching from ipod to dvd to tuner and back to ipod again without me touching a button. I like the alpine i bought instead. It charges my ipod which the jensen didnt do. much better sound too!

Don't blame you, I got an alpine deck back in april of 07, I'm still using it and I'm still in love with it, not a single complaint

Just to get this straight, the MP3 ECU requires a manual transmission, correct?

Will either the standard auto or auto-stick function with the ECU swap?

Reposting since this got caught on the bottom of the page where the ECU conversation was going on.

^Must be MTX, regular auto and tiptronic auto will not work with the mp3 ecu.

just took it for a spin after callie complained about a metal rattling clanging sound from the back.

Checked rear suspension and all is ok, checked brakes, lugs, and found nothing

popped the hatch to see what was back there, nothing

then happened to lift the boot cover and found the bolt holding down the spare tire to be loose, so tightened it down and sound gone


Also still smelling the belts burning on her car. Tension is good but i still smell burning rubber

might wanna check the timing belt too make sure its not coming it.

Changed the oil with some Royal Purple...

Tomorrow I'll be cleaning out the engine bay to hopefully make it look nice.
