What have you done to your P5 today?

I've been leaning more and more towards getting me some of these. My problem would be I'd have to get them for the lows, hi's and foglights and to start I'm not even sure if that's possible but I'm sure it would be expensive! I'd also have to get the lowest intensity possible - I hate "blue" lights. Any recommendations?

go for anything under 5K
and you will be fine
5K is white
4300K is the white from far away but normal halogen bulb color up close.

Hmm, 5000k might be a good number to go with. But do they have these for all the different lights: low, hi and fog? Also I noticed he has a 35W and a 50W option - what's the difference?

I went with the 5k because I am not a fan of the blueish/purpleish light as well. Not to mention the higher you go the less lighting they actually provide.

You would be fine with the 35w....supposedly the 50w is for off-road use and you will get flashed a lot more...ask Satimko.

I would advise you to only get the lo beam and fog light bulbs. Since our cars run with both hi and lo beams on, everytime you turn on the hi beams you would get the 'flicker' when they fire up.

And as for the fogs, double check with him to see if he can get the bulbs....IIRC the part number is H3-C.

Hmm, I forgot that the lowbeams stayed on <- shows you how much I use my hi's. How are the foglight upgrades in comparison to these? For instance I see some people get Catz or PIAA fogs.

Yeah, I have the 55w Apexcone 5000k kit. It's...umm...stupid bright? I have the beams focused about 10' in front of the car to not get flashed by every other car on the street.

See pic below...

So what are these "Other goodies"?

Other goodies:

Slim Ballast......$105.00 (NOTE: Ignitors are placed outside the ballast)
50W kit...........$129.00
BiXenon..........$149.00
D2R/S/C bulbs..$105.00

Ya, I have Silverstars currently for hi beams, so those in addition to he lo beam HID kit should be bright enough. lol

Sorry...no comparison concerning the fogs. IIRC njamerka is running an HID kit with his fogs, so you may want to check with him.

just ordered a set of AWR front endlinks from PG.

Called the dealership to see how much the bushing would cost for the strut mount. Not a bad price. I'll try the bushing and if that doesn't solve my problem, I'll switch out the whole damn mount.

BTW HID's are the s***. I believe mine are either the 5000 or 6000 and they give a million times better visibility and look much better.

Slim kit provides you with slim ballasts that are easier to 'hide'. I have seen people mount them under the headlights behind the bumper. But the igniters are a separate piece so then you would need to find a spot to mount them.

50w kit - see Phen's pic above

Bixenon are for the sedan guys with the lo/hi beam bulbs integrated

D2R/S/C bulbs I believe are for the guys who have projectors or doing a retrofit project.

^^^ Do you have yellow fogs or are they just overlays?

I have stock fogs with bluebatmobile overlays. i also put in some yellow bulbs that I got off ebay. I believe they were Nokya's which IMO are really good bulbs that few ppl seemingly know about. The light output is pretty good and they look really nice matched up with the HID's.

This is what I'm trying to find out because the output on the stock fogs is lame, IMO. I'm trying to boost my visibility at night because lately it seems to be very low. So you have the stock fogs but with overlays and different bulbs? They're H3 bulbs right?

Yea they are H3 bulbs. What greatly increased my visibility was the low beam HID's. Compared to the regular halogens, I'd say the visibility increases by a factor of ten without exaggeration.

You should really go HID lows and if you really need more output from your fogs, go HID fogs. Like everyone else said though, no need for HID highs.

Hmm, do they make yellow-tinted H3 bulbs in HID? That with a yellow overlay would probably be quite nice. I guess for the fogs I should go with the lowest intensity (like a 4000k or something)? Only part that is going to suck is mounting four separate ballasts - seems like it's going to be a hell of a drain on my car's electric system.

HID's use less electricity than halogens

and if you want a yellow light from the HID your going to want 3k

check out www.DXhid.com thats where I got mine and he's got great stuff

Holy hell those are expensive!

EDIT: How hard was the install - it looks like a lot of wires based on their install instructions.
