What have you done to your P5 today?

Yes but you have to modify the brackets, or make a hybrid P5 bracket using the MS3 sliders. Like he said, you can make any seat fit. Sounded pretty clear to me ;)

ok so it will fit and the only thing that woudl be required to modify is the bracket which I figured, but I wasn't to sure if the seats were to wide to fit in the p5.

You might be lucky and might only have to re drill the holes in the back/front where the bolt goes!

It is that case in most cases, its also a lot easier then swapping brackets.

nothing(sad1)...i did fill up today and i'm happy to report my mileage was up a bit (of course i haven't been boosting as my clamp is busted(shrug)i have a new one in the mail from FM) 27mpg...on an auto with 115K, combined driving...not bad!

I haven't driven in 2 weeks. Can I come home now please *sits in corner curled up in fetal position*

Peed in the driver's seat, then took a dump on the hood..... oh, wait, I thought it said "what have you done to aMaff's P5 today?"

Never mind....

Having fun in India, Andrew?

LOL Like your wife would let you drive all the way to the southside of Atlanta for that. I know how it works in your (edit: her?) house :p

And it's good. Great food, good people, good times. Ready to get back though.

I went ahead and ordered the Roof Rack/Rail Delete Kit CTt3P5! Thanks for all the info on the parts needed! I appreciate it! Although I'm not going to be installing them. I decided to trade them for the racks and rails from Crazy D.

No problem and glad I could help. Mine are still sitting in my basement waiting to be installed. I should do it this weekend (weather permitting) as I am now an asst coach for my son's coach pitch team and practice starts in April.

Any hints as to what you will be carrying on the rack?

Nothing yet, but a baby is on the way! Might need to hook up a storage box for luggage and stuff for later. I'm thinking of the future. :) I still need to get the cargo cover for the back though. Still searching!

Cargo cover as in the net? Or, the cover that covers the "trunk"?

If it is the trunk, I have a source that might have something you can use.

Installed Kartboy shift bushings. Not sure what I think of them just yet. I thought it might tighten up the side to side movement of the shifter but now it feels even looser. The shifter does "click" into gear better, but I got spoiled on the Miata shifters so I'll see how it goes. My short shifter should get here soon so I'll see how it ends up.

I got spoiled on the Miata shifters

I know the feeling. With the TWM SS and bushings, it's close. Nothing can replicate the perfect position though :( Proper race car stuff there. Anyway, the bushings help the forward / back movements more than side to side, that's why you're getting more positive engagement.

Your Pro5 is never going to replicate the Miata shifter. The short shifter is close, but, it's way below your knee, so, you actually reach further. The Miata is nearly perfect because you sit lower, and the steeringwheel is much closer to the shifter. And, the Miata's stock shifter is already short.

I like my TWM setup, but, it doesn't compare to the Miata
