What have you done to your P5 today?

haha at the rate you seem to be going that built block shouldn't be too far off!
Ha, I wish. Even with starting my job in June I think it'll at least be a year before I'm comfortable with buying a built block. I also want to get a lot of headwork done (valves, camshafts, etc.) and do some transmission work (revised '03 transmission + welded revised MSP LSD). It would be nice to get most of that stuff all at once so I have wait for a big install day. Then the real fun begins - WRX 440cc injectors, Walboro 55lb fuel pump and 15 psi here I come. Also going to need a custom 3" exhaust in the near future. And that would be about it for the engine - any more would be overkill on a FWD vehicle not to mention the driveability goes down as the power goes up. If I can land somewhere between 275-300 whp in the end I'll be happy.

On a different note, what wheels are those in your sig? They kind of look like Gram Lites 57c or the 5Zigen F(something)s?

Word I hear you on that. I know a place up here in stafford that can do that exhaust for you. This guy does real quality work for a great price. I know its pretty far for you to drive but it doesn't sound like you'll be ready for that for a while.

Nah I wish they were Gram lights or even some FN01R's. They're offbrand. MB Wheels, Competition. 16x7 +40. But at 12lbs a piece I'm not complaining. Especially for $400 shipped to my door. They're a great improvment of the stock chromies.

12 lbs a piece?! That's crazy - even lighter than the 16x7 Enkei RPF1s! Do you get a lot of rubbing with the +40? I ask because I'm looking to go the 16x7 route and am trying to find some good, light wheels.

what have I done to my p5 "tonight"?

Installed progress rear sway bar in the dark. Light? My finger tips worked just as good as a flash light. Next to the end links; proping the flash light angle was the hardest part. But got a great trick removing the stock end link that ppl love to cut off. Just use your foot to crank that puppy off.

Yea when I grabbed the box off my driveway I was expecting to do some heavy lifting and I almost fell over backwards cause the box came right up. lol I was really shocked and thought maybe they had sent me 15's or something but I opened them up and they were the right size so I put on my home scale and they came out to an even 12 lb. a piece.

I had some rubbing issues in the back when I had the k-sports slammed but I think its because I have a 205/50/16 tire. If you had a 205/45 or even the stock 195/50 I doubt there would be any rubbing. It's rubbing on the side wall of the tire so its just barley not making full clearence. If I rolled the fenders some more/properly I don't think it would be a problem.

400 shipped!!!

Give me the site that you got them, and I might not hate you so much anymore!

+1

And I haven't done jack s*** to my P5 in over a year.
Seriously.

I got them for christmas so maybe it was $500 but someone already did the homework for me. I did get them from discounttiredirect.com vvvvv

I don't know where you can get them for that cheap, but Discount Tire sell them for $121 each:

Started the header/CAI install. I put it up on ramps, pulled the heatshield and sensor, then got started on the nuts and bolts to see which ones needed PBlaster. Found just a couple of reluctant ones, sprayed them, and came inside to work on my schoolwork. I'll do the rest of the work tonight, when I'm too eye/brain-fried to keep reading.

Waiting on my clear Celica markers to show to swap out! Probably gonna pick up a can of the tint spray to make both the side markers and bumper markers look the same. Also just got the white Pro5 waxed. Gotta wait till I meet up with the wife to see how it looks.

My bro runs a tire/rim shop...and why i havent done this already is beyond me but....going to call him today and see what he can hook me up with. It is in some major need of some 18s and a good drop!!!

Anyone else sick of their 02 Pro cupholders? They basically suck, any idea if i can find an '02.5+ and swap out the center console? They look so much more cleaner.

No, I'm not sick of my 03 cupholders! I like them in both cars actually. :)

LOL yeah I know b/c those are the ones I want!! the 02s are the ones that have the cover over them that you have to flip up. Looks tacky. I was just wondering if the center console could be swapped out to accomodate?

Check with one of the "Part out" threads going. They might still have the consoles or cupholders

The cupholders in these cars are useless. I once had a water bottle in the cupholder, took a turn fast and it flew across the car into the passenger side door. They should have made them deeper....

Are the 02.5 and newer any better? I've got an 02 and it sucks, like you said take a turn to sharp and wham!
