Bearings can still fail in a short amount of time... especially if the axle nut was put on with an impact. Too much torque on that nut can crush the bearing and cause it to fail prematurely. Not saying that's what it is, but it's always a possibility.
Finally lowered. Megan Racing springs and Monroe Struts.
Took me about 3 hours. My endlinks were nasty and would not come off so I had to cut them. I am currently driving without a rear sway bar which makes the handling a little sloppy. Looking to upgrade my rear swaybar and get some adjustable endlinks. Feel free to steer me in the direction of some good products

Thanks Rico, I'm very happy!nice drop i like it
I cut the thread where it attaches to the swaybar. I left the endlinks on the strut tab so I have a free swaybar. My car is smoother since my struts were on the way out. I was afraid the the Megan's double compression ratio was going to kill my ride, but the struts compensate and I'm comfy. Can't wait for a sway bar so I can confidently bank some turns!^ def liking the drop. I need to attach my rear sway bar as well. only had a hack saw so we just split the endlinks in half and when I go back to my parents ill grab the angle grinder and finish getting the bolts out. there is one road by my work where the car is sooooo loud. haha. just one week of this
it was put on with an impact so we will see whats up. the sound is different this time but during my lunch break today im going to lift up one of the front wheels, put it in first, and see if i get the sound going again. I so do not feel like doing the bearing again already. my friend with the press prob does not want to help again, haha. its just weird that it all happened 10 minutes after lowering the car
Really? The book that I read specifically said not to use the impact because it can put too much pressure on the bearing. WTF.
