I think they will, if I'm not mistaken they are the same car up until right after the rear doors. Wheel arches/sideskirts are all in the same place/size

changed my FAIL of an alternator to the new "reman"d one. that one is FAIL also. battery light came on...buddy came over with his multi meter. its only running around 12.5 from the alt. fudgin autozone.

received and installed my kartboy shifter linkage bushings, best $25 ive spent on my car so far haha

Changed coil packs, wires, cleaned MAF, new plugs. The only things left are on the fuel side. Still running lean w/ crazy spikes at wot.

You'll get 2-3 more crappy alternators before you finally get a good one. It's just how it is with Autozone and alternators. The good news is that after your third one you'll be changing alternators out like you were on an F1 pit crew.

Installed some bronze bushings for my shift linkage ($11 for 4 slightly modified to fit from Mc Master Carr)
Amazingly tight shifting now...unbelievable difference and way overdue

After about four hours of cursing and sweating, I finally got the factory head unit out. Im pretty sure i broke the clips that you need to press w/ the DIN tools to remove it - but its alright i got the new one in (alpine cda-105). Took me two minutes to put the new one in and it looks and works perfect, very happy now that its over.

Also got an Acura shorty antenna on today.

And got my ebay shifter knob today as well.

yup.

i had a similar thing happen with firestone.

something tells me they either sell complete crap, or not the correct alternator for the protege.

the ecu regulates the alternator on the protege.

i got a oem mazda alternator and all was fixed.
