What have you done to your P5 today?

OK KanseiZM here you go. Three mods putting the P5 at a max of 142.9 WHP.
Again this is a Mustang Dyno and shop temp was a hair over 100 degrees last friday. Three straight passes within 5 minutes of each other.
Pretty obvious where the VCTS does it's thing.
I actualy plan on trying this with a different manifold (no VCTS) before doing the engine swap, maybe help a few people who are wondering about those Intake Manifolds.

wow. that's pretty crazy there.. you sure you didn't sneak a supercharger in there?

More reason that I need to dyno my car. I should find a place in upstate/central NY and get a little group going.

yeah, please do - would be nice to have real-world results on this instead of conjecture.

Wow! I have an MP3 Ecu, CAI, ceramic coated header, high flow midpipe and a cat back exhaust and I only dyno at 115 - 117whp.
It could be partially due to the elevation... or am I mistaken?

Hmmm... Interesting. Maybe next time I go I'll try to find a local Protege/P5 to go along as well to see what another one makes.
Possibly comes back to type of Dyno.... or my car just realy, realy loves me !!

Damn, you got me. "the tornado" FTW (first)
All I have are the numbers it made and no good explanation since I never Dyno'ed while totaly stock. I may have a local candidate with a stock Protege. I'll try to talk him into an FS ZE cam and do a before and after Dyno

True, I don't recall seeing any Dyno testing on those manifolds but more and more people seem to be removing the VCTS or getting the other manifolds.
Anybody want to donate one for testing??:)

Installed my awr 21.5 mm rear sway bar. The adjustable endlinks were a bit of a pain in the ass. Can't wait to test out the new wheels and the bar at the next auto-x event.

ordered my baby some goodies for when I get back:

it makes you want to cry, huh?

i had somewhere around 116 with my lightweight flywheel, CM Clutch, nology wires, Racing beat axle-back, SRI intake, synthetic fluids.......you don't get much back on the money spent on the MODS!

looks like a good combo to me. Those twm knobs seem nice.
it is. I've got a friend on here that has 1 in his MPS, and it's freakin sweet. It'll have to be installed when I get back from training, but I wanted to cash in on the sale they've got going on, so I'm shipping it to a friends house for safe keeping....let's just hope it doesn't get installed on her car before I get back lol

One of my dyno times was on MAM's dyno at sea level and it was 100 + degrees in his shop at night. We had a stock P5 there and it dyno'd at 95 WHP.

i can get new wheels for the protege5 and do some sound system work. or put the money in the bank to save for a miata...any ideas?

.

Wow, that's pretty close to the same conditions and elevation. I am definitely more interested in seeing the difference a cam makes on a stock engine now.
