What have you done to your P5 today?

You talkin the stained glass paint to your fogs ? I did mine a while ago. It works, but it doesn't last long before it really starts to chip and flake off.

Im probably going to try this tomorrow. I could do this to my Fog lights too right?

Do they sell that stuff at walmart? If not where could I get it from?

Thanks!

haha, says 24.3 in your signature? :P
Wonder why its so low? mine gets ~26 on a bad week?

That's my avg. ;) This is actually a little under my norm for winter time. Gotta love winter gas.

How are you guys getting such horrible mileage? I have been driving pretty aggressive on these last few tanks and I'm still averaging 31MPG.

Autotragic and I know the winter gas + winter wheels don't help either.

mine hasnt really changed, it has in the past but not recently
im even overdue for an oil change and im still getting ok/above average mileage

Anyone notice a gain in mileage after switching to synthetic oil vs conventional oil? I deal Amsoil and I'm gonna get enough to do a change for the P5 soon, doesn't really matter but a slight benefit would be nice.

I don't think it would be anything significant. Maybe once the oil has been used a while, the synthetic holds up longer. But good oil vs. good oil, I would say no. my .02

I am also thinking about converting to a turbo setup this upcoming summer. I was thinking that I can directly swap some factory MSP components to save money. I'm thinking I need this:

MSP turbo manifold
MSP turbo
MSP downpipe (does it bolt up to the factory P5 exhaust?)
Windage tray
Oil lines
MSP ECU
FMIC setup (most expensive part)

Technically since the setups (motor wise) are identical I could run those components and not need any tuning, correct? I would like to run 5-6lbs for my motors sake, it has 126k miles on it and I think it could take that pressure very well as long as I do NOT crank up the boost and it keep at that constant level. I would of course get an oil pump upgrade from MP3Racer and DocBRacing.

(sad2) how do you get less mpg than me? tires and gas? i was avg about 25-26 last month, although i don't have it listed becasue i've been drivin the msm

I have come to the conclusion that it is the lack of boost. At least that's what I tell Tamz. ;) She's not buying it.

I have a very good feeling it comes down to driving habits. I do have a little case of heavy foot on the highway but feel it comes down more to the city driving. I am bad at fast starts and late stops. Trying to improve but it's a bad habit I've had for many years.

if I turbo I will be doing a T3 setup since I already have one. Ill run low boost 5psi or so since I have a manualmatic. I miss having a turbo car. Its horrible having N/A after having a fast turbo4 stang.

The other day I put silverstar bulbs in the back turn signals and reverse lights and new brake lights. Unfortunately the turn signals do not light up amber anymore so I need to put the stock bulbs back in before I get pulled over. Today I finished painting my protege5 emblem, will post installed pics tomorrow. I also took off my front plate, since I already have one illegal mod on my car as it is I think I will put the plate back on, but even with the holes in the bumper the car looks SO much cleaner without it.

And I ordered a new pair of Inifnity Kappa 6x8s for 77 shipped.
