What have you done to your MSP today?

All solid mounts make the car sound sinister, gives it a strangle low rumble. Even when I had the stock exhaust people would say my car was 'loud' because of it. But I got used to the mounts in a couple days.

Got some progress done on the motor for MSP #1574, clutch is on, upper oil pan is on, timing belt and water pump are replaced and timing covers, wp and crank pulleys installed. Need to clean the shavings out of the lower pan, bolt on the pickup and seal/install the lower pan, then it will be time to drop it in. Also dropped off the stock turbo mani at the same shop that welded my stock mani from MSP #1345 to repair the crack as well as my stock racingbeat muffler as it is leaking as well.

replaced the rear brakes on my wifes esgt today. had weird 626 calipers in the back i had to research a little on how to compress as there were no notches heh. picked up a compression tester. gonna see how the msp is tommorrow perhaps.

To everyone with a Doc B set up, where did you purchase your adaptor and lines from? (the things he doesn't give you)

Took out part of the interior on the msp yesterday. Jesus there was a lot of rust where the spare tire is. Fronded most of the rust down. The rubber grommet under the spare fell out , with part of the metal around it. Looks like I'm gonna have to find a bigger grommet. Need to still vacume all the rust out of trunk but I don't own a vacume so looks like my next purchase is gonna be a vacume lol

So are exedy throwout bearings known to fail fairly early? been doing some research as my msp clutch has been rattling for some months before i took it off the road. car was awesome after the clutch/flywheel swap in november 2013 but by april/may, it started rattling.
fidanza flywheel, exedy stage 1 for regular protege, royal purple gear oil in the box. im thinking of going back to spec clutch after the dif replacement, but is there a reason id need a mazdaspeed protege specific clutch? it could be throwout bearing gone bad, or maybe a loose damper spring.. but its most noticable when stopped, in neutral, with the clutch engaged. if i press it in, the transmission stops and the sound stops. i did a pretty thorough manual inspection when i put the trans back together and all the bearings in it are pretty good.. dunno.

Mine does the same thing and it drove me nuts for a while but now I just don't drive it as much

been debating or not to buy the 7lb fidanza flywheel for my MSP . has anyone personally had this installed on their car as well? If so, how do you like it or dislike it compared to the oem flywheel ?

hard to say if it made a difference on my msp. there is so much exhaust restriction with the turbo system in place that throttle response gains are negligible. i think its more for na guys who want to improve response. it was however $350... lol. dunno what a new oem costs.
who knows. i might pull the p5s out and have it redone, stick it back in the msp and stick the light weight one with the stage 1 in the p5, do a light na build on it.

think of getting another spec stage 2 plus or even stage 3 for the msp. just soo i dont have to worry about being limited down the road. prob wont drive it as much with a reliable p5dd so it should last forever heh.

Over the weekend this happened.

I was skeptical at first but I installed mine anyways, I don't have ANY issues with it. Free HP by lightening up the rotating mass
( I have the REAL JDM flywheel for sale, it's lighter than OEM but heavier than Fidanza)
