Auto-x'd the car for the first time today. Went with F/R tire PSI 40/37 with pretty good success. I also pulled the fuse for the ABS as I knew it was gonna kick in way too often. It really helped. Notwithstanding my first run, my last 5 were all within a couple 10th's of one another. If nothing else, I was consistent. Whenever the results get posted I'll share, but I'm working on the video and photos I took.

God what a good car...

Down at the Bowie Baysox stadium with the MSCW crew. Travo83 and I went down there together. He decided not to run since his brakes took a beating at his last track session, but I was anxious to get my car out there since its in tip-top shape.

I know there's a CDC AutoX coming up near us in Frederick sometime soon. You should come out for it!

went to the 1/8 mile track last night.

did 2 runs, both 10.5 sec at 70 mph. i had terrible starts wich cost me at least .5 sec

i claybared and waxed mine a month or two ago... the difference is amazing! so smooth and glossy. you'll be happy with the results if you do a thorough job.

Yea i tried finishing this morning but damn its soo damn hot outside i couldnt finish. I managed to get one coat of wax all around the car but couldnt get to the roof. Im kinda pissed. Damn sun! But it looks great so far. Shiny and smooth.

Dude, the new tires sloved my rubbing issue. Took it on the freeway and no rubbing whenever i hit a bump. Now im going to top the gas off and see if the no rubbing continues. So i guess the 205/40 tires will not be needed.

eh.. i aint got a msp... not quite.. just the brains.. but i did figure out i NEED A DAMN down pipe and a few other things, will a down pipe let the turbo be heard through the exhaust?? or is that just a bigger turbo then what i have... i already have full 2.5 straight back.. no cat's or resinator.. to a tanabe super medalion.. ( YES i will get some video of how it sounds.. it is low... loud but low infact i think im going to take some pictures of my mazda today.. :-)

question time:
unichip... are they worth the money at all?
I have read alot of good and bad about them... I like teh plug and play ability of it.. however i now have 2 enginemanagement systems sitting on my kitchen table.. because i couldnt get the MPI tuner to work... and havent had time to install the greddy emanage. I was considering sds or AEM, just for the fact that i loose the stupid f'ing maf sensor and can tune easier...

but im thinking about it... I was going to go full stand alone... but i like my sensors to work..unless i kept the stock ecu and didnt use it for engine control at all.. just used it for like.. speed readings and what not.. i dont know if i can do taht or not.. but im considering it... sds makes a full standalone.. gets rid of the maf all togather and just uses a map sensor... ugh.. need opinions.....

new engine... mine is dieing... dont got a clue what to do with it... it RUNS... but not well... under boost at higher rpms there is NO power... the engine is super hot.. well teh manifold is... but the water temp stays at like... 240ish.. i think... i cant remember.. but that is offf the inline sensor.. the car temp gauge says normal...

things ive tried.... plugs.. three different types.... gapped to .32 and tried .28... new intercooler piping.. all new vac lines... thoguht it was a vac or boost leak.... next thing im gonna do is bypass the intercooler all togather adn run straight from thr turbo to the intake.... changed maf locations.. changed maf tubing.. removed and replaced mad. changed out BOV AND wastegate actuator. changed oil... twice... removed air filter... put it back on... it made no difference.....

sooo i bought one fron a junk yard from a car that was wrecked... and there is NASTY oil caked everywhere in the head... im so mad that i gotta take the head off and pretty much rebuild the motor.. its just really dirty and all but i dont know what else to change out besides the head gasket, get it tanked and leveled down.. im thinking i might have the block plained too... or do it my self with a belt sander.. and just make sure it is straight.. i havent pulled the oil pan yet.. havent had a stand to do it on.. either way im going to clean it up and make it new lookin and make sure it is working.. i dont wanna have the same issue with this motor as my old one...
