What have you done to your MSP today?

you can make the same thing with a cheap 9v battery clasp and some alligator clips from radio shack...just clip the ends to the battery terminals before you take it off

ahh. good idea. but if u need to work with the terminals i would think that they would get in the way. either way, still a nice addition to the ol tool box.

sway bar bushings have been squeeking for the last few weeks and only getting worse in the cold weather.
so today after work I took them off and lubed em up with some Mobil 1 fully synthetic grease. (the red stuff)
Immediate difference, my car sounds a lot quieter now.

i was at walmart (not by choice its really all we have close) and i found this lil doodad that costs 4.99 and u stick a 9volt battery in it, it goes in the cig lighter and it keeps your settings while you change batteries, or whatever. What a genious idea. I dont know how many times i had to re EQ my radio due to resetting ecu/battery (if u mod msp's you know how often this is)

If you go to a Volkswagen dealership, they get those in all their cars off the shipping truck and throw them away before they sell the car.
cool thing is that these are solar!!!!
they stick up in your window and run off of sunlight so the VW's always have a full charge when arriving at the dealer.
Go raid their dumpster when they aren't looking i guarantee you will find stacks of em.

Yeah, and the battery clip and alligator clips are pretty cheap too. Depending on where you live, you might find someone that will help you hook it up. (I work for RadioShack by the way). I've got all kinds of people that come in with electrical issues with their cars. Try wiring a car from OBD2 to OBD1 is what I like to say...
Some cars actually store information temporarily due to either a backup battery or some charge left in a few capacitors.

But won't it NOT reset the ECU, which is kinda the whole point of the exercise? I mean, if it's enough to maintain the RAM in the radio, it's enough to maintain the RAM in the ECU. Not to be a debbie downer or anything, it just seems logical.

Polished her newly acquired coooooler...

nice! is that a new perrin kit?!

No sir....I tried calling Perrin months ago about one, and they were discontinued with none in stock. I snagged this bad boy up from Victor aka Pirana :)

IC is polished, and the pipes are being sent to Jet-Hot (burnout)

lucky purchase! also, i bet it was in amazing condition coming from pirana.

I got rear ended last night. 10mph or so collision because of the snow and the dipshit behind be assumed I was going to run a yellow (I was turning right) when there was a guy in the intersection waiting to turn left. I'm starting to think this car is cursed and I wonder if I don't get it fixed if that will end the curse.

History:
Bought the car in June 2005, had two or three parking lot incidents
January 2006, sideswiped by some douchebag while parked, and he left, $3000+ in damages
June 2007, hit deer on way home, $4300 in damages (not including rental car)
January 2008, rear ended by some douchebag, whatever it costs to replace the bumper and rear lip

So, guessing in June 2009 something else is going to happen .... stay tuned.

The Perrin's are discontinued? Makes me happier that I have one now. (peep)

They have been for quite some time now. They said the only way they would consider producing more, is if theres a group purchase. And i doubt we can get multiple buyers to purchase such an expensive piece.

yeah screw that, turbolife's FMIC will be just as good and much much cheaper, just give it some time if you guys want one

Exclusive Perrin FMIC club?

There could also be other clubs....MAM turbo manifold club, GHL turboback club, etc.
