What have you done to your MSP today?

The listing for the felpro is on rockauto and is pretty limited. It's probably good quality though i've never had problems with felpro in the past. It's a damn good deal, the whole kit for all the head gaskets is less than just the HG from cometic.

Yup lol, i use a felpro valve cover gasket and oil pan gasket. So far so good.

I have the VC gasket and EM gasket, oh well i'm gonna order them. Nothing to be afraid of I hope. I think I found a machine shop too. Can't wait to drive the MSP again, now that the Bullitt is down for a while.

Alright I got the head off and am taking in tonight to a shop, I found where my pretty large oil leak is. The knock sensor seems to be leaking oil, and lots of it. Doesn't really make sense and it must be coming from the head but it really looks like it's coming straight out of the knock sensor. Should I remove it and re-seal it? I thought it required a thread seal on it, any insight? Also the pistons have a lot of crud and buildup on them, must be due to the HG.

Since I bought the car it always had the carbon fiber hood on, and yesterday I finally unwrapped the original hood out of the seibon wrapper and installed it, it has some rust on the left end but it actually looks pretty good, its the first time I saw my car all yellow, I might keep it over the winter, sorry for the washers, I just wanted to bother the honda guys

buildup is typical. it happens. they are after all, under explosions. the knock sensor DOES require thread seal of some kind.

that's a knock sensor yes.

well when the first hg blew at 205 k miles my knock sensor was blown out and this motor has 115k and its seeping a little. anyone know the cause?

Exactly, mine is leaking like that too. It's like $150 so I hope there is a way to fix the leak. There is oil EVERYWHERE underneath that sensor, I know it's been leaking since I got the car at 86k miles.
Would teflon tape work, what should i use to reseal or do I need a new sensor first?

I kinda like our yellows more with the yellow hood.. But I do like me some cf trunk lids and no wonder I had an eye for your setup with the washers.. I have a Honda too!! Lol

Yeah I think unless you don't mind the sound and having to keep the cel off, than yeah that'd probably be the way to go, let me know how it goes, I'm really wanting one

its not loud without cats, the muffler and resonator determine how loud the car is,
and there are things you can do to keep the CEL from coming on, theres tons of write ups on here about it.

yeah i'll deff let you know how it is once i order it an etc..
So if i was to go with the cat-less one thats cheaper for $175 how would i be able to keep the CEL off... if i could do that, why not get the cheaper one lol

Im not going to search for the link, thats your job. Go to the how-to section and look for the CEL/MIL eliminator

Yea it's cheaper to get the catless, but you will spend additional money to buy the CEL eliminator.

True, but lik I said, I've heard some ppl say it's a little unbearable for a daily driven car. But to each his own who knows I might be ok with it too! And yeah, plenty of how to's on that, justanothermp5 just said it in a mean way... Jk lol
