What have you done to your MSP today?

Yep I already spoke to him about it :) ...s*** is expensive though lol. I really need to make it a priority though, since without a good tune all my power mods are kinda pointless.

I would consider getting the Platinum 1000 to control your idle or you'll need a 626 cam sensor installed which was said by JDMSam. My Haltech Sprint 500 wasn't working properly, so Sam had to use his Sprint 500 which he plugged right in (Extension Harness FTW!). Everything seemed to be going smooth, but right when progress was being made the stock fuel injectors maxed out. :(

So, now I have to wait to get my Haltech replaced, order some 600ishcc Injectors (since there were none in stock atm) and figure out a way to fix my idle with the Haltech, before I try and go get tuned again.

i wish I lived closer to a known protege tuner to go over my car. I know it has isues that im not aware of... fix one thing and find out even more was wrong with it then you had orignally thought. lol

s***, we thought everything was ready to go, but the stupid Haltech is broken, then the alarm/button start up was pissing everyone off and the injectors maxed out within a hour of the drive tune. Never even got a chance to hit the dyno up. That was a waste of money and 500 miles, but oh well.
 
it was last summer right after they raised the price on them. A wholesaler had one with a best offer. I low balled him and he cam back $50 higher so I took it.

What was wrong with your Haltech? Did it just not suit your needs or was it actually broken? You say the Sprint 500 doesn't have idle control? How is that possible if it is a standalone?
 
Spent 8 hours re-clearing my carbon fiber hood. So happy with the results.

So this morning I went down to start my car to go to work. Stupid thing didn't start.... Ao I got in my moms car and went to work lol. But got home took my starter out and going to install a new one tomorrow.... Fun fun
 
Since my MSP has been so nice lately, I decided to go give it a bath, fill it up with fresh 93, and go on a cruise.

So I am guessing our expansion valve is in our dash based on looking at pictures of it online. My A/C has been bogging my car down and caused it to overheat last year in the summer. I put the manifolds on this monday and found my high side (Liquid line) is going above 400psi. It shouldnt be anywhere near that. So I recovered the freon. It only had 8 ounces? its suppose to have 21. So i am going to change the expansion valve, blow the system out and recharge the system. We will see if I will finally have AC after over two years without it haha. It would get cold but at a stop the car would almost die and in the summer time at 90+ it would cause my car to over heat. I think where the Pressure was so high it was causing the engine to strain too much and causing the car to over heat. I bet this will fix the problem. I dont think im going to change the dryer because it should catch the trash in the system. We will see how it goes, if it needs to be replaced I will replace it later.

but ya so today I put my calipers back on the car, and bled the system, going to put the tires back on tomorrow, I figured I needed my car, and I couldn't wait for G2 to get back to me soon enough as to finding a paint that would come as close to matching my car as possible without it being a tri-color, might have them custom make a color for me or mix some metallic flakes in with the right type of orange color..

but anyways.. does anyone have any extra fuel lines they don't need lol??? putting back the stock fuel system in my brother's car until I can fix his fuel rail problem, but I already sold my fuel lines from my partout.. wish I hadn't, but oh well, hopefully I can get some with the clips still intact
 
Sandpaper question; what grit sandpaper should i use on polished aluminum to allow paint to adhere to it better? What grit should i use on ceramic coating to allow for better paint adhesion?

I plan on painting my sri, and hardpipes with that heat tolerant metalcast paint. Going with black for a semi stock look

That's the best one I have at the moment cuz I'm at school. My SRI doesn't sit perfect with the hood but I like to think it still gains from it :)
