so today i installed a dog bone motor mount took about 10-15 mins.
i also installed a joey p proz MBC which took a little longer , and rite now i am installing a prosport boost , and also a map clamp so it looks like tonite is a good nite , except for the 4 inches of ice outside lol

If you only took them off yesterday, they may not be ready for paint. Mine took 2-3 days and a number of bleach changes to get the chrome off, then you need to remove the rest of the copper/nickel w/peroxide. What ever you do, don't rush the job or you'll have to live with the results for a long time. You may not be ready to paint for a week.
On a cookie sheet or aluminum foil @ low temperature (175-200) for 10-20 mins they will be OK. They will still be tacky, not to mention hot, so don't touch them in that state.
I've done it several times w/o a problem, just keep a close eye on them.
Unfortunately, patience is still the best technique when painting stuff.

how many coats of white did you do on dat thang? I tried it with like 5 coats and accidentailly(?) sanded to chrome
