What have you done to your MS3 today?

What's a good pad to get for daily driving that has the lowest dust possible? I'll be putting my new wheels on in the spring and after having white wheels on my P5 back in the day, I learned how much it sucks.

Ivan, I would suggest you go with anything ceramic based will be just fine, but what I dont recommend is EBC, I've always had VERY bad luck with them warping rotors, regardless of the color I choose, they stopped great but for street use they just get to hot....or maybe it's just me I've always had VERY good luck with Axxis pads....

We did a set of Hawk street on my buddies 08 and he's got no dust problems nor squeel or warping of rotors so that might be a very good choice too.

I'm using the Hawk Ceramic. They don't give the same bite as stock pads, but stop as well (IMHO). They definitely dust less than the stock pads. I'd say about 3x less. I can go for a couple weeks before the dust becomes noticeable.

I got uber close to trading in on a prius today. that b**** gave me 54mpg on my test drive

I honestly can't believe anyone would willing drive a Prius. There are so many cars out there that will give you close to the same mileage and you can at least keep a little of your dignity. Ugh. ******* Prius's.

I had a feeling that maybe the case, honestly I was hoping they were no worse than stock, BECAUSE they're Hawk. I guess that's the price you pay. :sigh: I just cannot ******* stand cleaning my wheels every 2-3 days. Though, if you complete drown the wheels in Armoral wheel protectant... it helps a lot. But that s*** only works for one wash. Once you wash the wheels, it washes off. And those little cans ARE NOT cheap.

I have about 25K on a set of green stuff's and beckarnley rotors. no issues, much cleaner than the stock pads

lexus c200h 43/40
fusion hybrid 41/36

thats about it. at least for me

get a low boost map with high timing and you can see 35 in the speed. i do on road trips

Tried and loved the lexus. too expensive....it STARTS at 29k

and i think the fusion is generally more expensive than an equivalent prius as well

Diesel is all but out of the question. they really only show their true mileage during constant driving (ie highway). the fuel prices for diesel are also more unstable than gas

maybe i should start a new thread

You talking about me? cuz i have the mscai as well

anyway...we kinda missd the 0% financing on the prius (which im sure will be back up soon) and we decided to hold off a little longer

all i know is the ms3 is getting nothing but older, and a high gas mileage vehicle with a brand new warranty and first 2 years of free regular maintenance (oil and tire rotation) sounds just fine to me

and since i will probably never own a sport(y) car again, going the almost complete opposite direction from the ms3 is fine by me.

hypertech = meh

oakland, to preserve what little is left of your manhood i recommend a project car

Have one....1963 cj. my time is being used in things other than auto because of the house we bought, and im the b**** of the houshold so i do everything. so really, is a prius that farfetched?

i would have looooooooved to spend more money on the ms3, but its just not in the cards. if i can get a car (like the prius) and save more money in the long run i might be able to do the things i want at some point

you can think of it as a short term loss long term gain, you can think of it as going from a semi-respectable and extremely practical sports car to a vagina on wheels, or whatever. i know that the automotive toys that i want are beyond my reach, so im forced to settle for something lower

trust me, a hybrid is not my dream car at all, i wouldnt even get a tesla roadster if it were bought for me.
