What have you done to your MP3 today???

Awesome work man!!

Thanks, first time doing it, and let me tell you green auto tape for painting with letters on for each connection makes it HELLA easy to put back together.

Cranked the car for 5 seconds and it started right up, made me definitly feel good about myself. I mean I feel very confident in my abilities, but was nice to successfully do this on the first try.

Fixed my idle, but still not positive that the Smoking issue is solved.

Note taken about the green tape, I'll be doing an engine build soon. O man I know that feeling for sure! I turbo charged my car myself and it was so rewarding when it all started up good.

polished vc!

Went to replace brake pads as they were squeking found out rotor was bad also as I was pulling the rotor off I found out some idiot stripped the bolt in the caliper bracket. Sat apart for Saturday and Sunday because everything was closed put it back together found out parts store put the wrong size bolt for caliper bracket in the box now I have a gouge in my new rotor and to top it off blue smoke when I started it up... I hate this car

im new here. i have a 2001 mp3 with about 83k on it.. i also have a slight oil burn problem.. but searching around here alot of guys suggest that an oil catch can would help a bit. As far as mods.. the only thing ive done is gotten the head rebuilt and shaved 2 thousands and in crappy short ram intake.

just put new tires on this weekend, went with 225/45/17 from 205/40/17. and ya im getting some tire rub on the rear fenders...not cool. so i rolled the fenders and that has helped a little bit. so now im going to reattach the sway bar to see if that helps. and the reason its not hooked up right now is because i need some new bushings and endlinks and just purchased the clunk fix bracket from racing beat. next week will be project week!! :)

Glad to see plenty MP3s are still running around out there. I see a few here locally still but not as much as I used to when I had one. MP3 POWA!!!

Just put an order into corksport.. third link bushings, bronze oil bushings, stainless steel clutch line, arp head studs, and a mazdaspeed lightweight fly wheel. With all that got an exedy stock replacement clutch kit. Anyone try a combination of these. I hear the clutch line is really worth it, but the rest i dont know too much about.

Ya my rear sits about 1-1.5 inches lower than the front. But as he was saying it looks a bit higher than a regular protege should.
