What have you done to your Miata today?

Primacy HPs are a fine summer tire. They are not a race tire though. Some people expected the OE tire on the FRS/BRZ to be a racing slick for some reason... also that it's an available option on some version of the Prius (JDM only maybe?) is why they think it's crap. I think you'll get a good tire for a great price with the Primacy HP.

Took mine to a VW / Audi meet yesterday. Wanted to take the BMW but the driveshaft vibes are getting worse. The blue Rabbit next to me has 8800 original miles on it.

Thanks for the encouragement, James

I think that's the first time I've seen pictures of your lowered! Looks good.

I love the TDR splitters, I am going to pick one up soon.

Over the weekend...

I installed new upper and lower shift boots (the old ones were completely destroyed!). Replaced the left rear caliper, took off all of the other calipers and repainted them. Installed new Tribute washer nozzles to replace the Miata ones that weren't functioning anymore. Got everything ready to reinstall the stereo in the new JDM center console.

that ride height is just right. (thumb)

here is some video from my track day
put it in HD cuz the sd sucks

Flyin' Miata Stage 2 suspension kit arrived today. Very excited to finish off the winter's building.

Nice!

Hoping to drive mine up to the Cleveland Indians game today. Providing the weather cooperates.

Replaced a flare nut on the rear subframe's brake hardline. Somehow an english fitting made it onto the car and the threads were very unhappy. Luckily there was enough extra hardline to just cut a little off and re-flare the end. I finally got to use my hard-line cutter and double-flare tool, hoooray! FWIW a carbide knife/deburring knife is great for deburring brake lines, some how-to videos said 'just use a screwdriver' x.x not okay.

With that sorted out I put together the rear brake calipers/caliper brackets/e-brake brackets now that they're all happy and painted.

I also got most of the rear subframe assembled. I just need to put the brake rotors, calipers, and shocks on it and it can get slapped into the car!

Is it easier to put back on the car assembled?

The subframe is just 4 huge fasteners, +3 in the diff. The entire suspension is 20+, plus all the odds & ends (brake lines, brackets, etc).

If you're going to do all that, you might as well do the whole thing at once.
